well guys....I won't have any updates for a day or two, as I have had a mjor set back. Last night I was driving back to the shop when some idiot in a Lexus pulled out right in front of my Supercharged/ Nitrous Monte. Caught the suv right in the front fender and spun it around...
It's gunna be close, but I am pretty sure its totaled, air bags went off and all. I dont have any pics of the car yet, It's at my shop and I have yet to go take a closer look, but here is what it USED to look like...
too bad....it was a REALLY nice car.

sorry but why the half butt job on painting the motor like u did... if u wana do a nice build then do it right.. that right there just looks half butt.. i recognize it might be a show/stock internal + turbo/build car but it just seem like your starting off on the wrong foot...

TCpete...Thanks for the comment, but I don't really get what you meen? I as well as many other members think the paint came out great (including ElevationtC who originally thought it was a junk job).
Just out of curiosity, what don't you like about the paint job so i could make the propper adjustments next time around?
Thanks again for the input!

im not trying to down you ... dont get me wrong i think what your doing should be nice project...
my thing is by looking at those pics... none of the ports (intake/exhuast) were covered.. the thermostat and coolant pipes were not covered... the valve cover on top duing the primer process was not covered which probably by looking at the finished pics NOT one precaution of care was taken when spraying down the motor from paint particles accumulating inside the motor... the lead and grim build up from any of the paint/primer particles passing though the water/oil ways could potentially cause premature wear on seals, orings, metal to metal groves where oil passes, or build up towards the oil pick up etc etc ... bolts are gonna be a PITA to screw on/off and so are nuts because of the paint build on threads... people are gonna notice that kind of attention to detail lacking when they see everything painted like that... (atleast i would)
i would only say just take more time atleast to mask things up... and not go primer/paint happy... if your going to document a big build for a show car... the details and other small things like that are more impressive then just splashes of color to hide sloppyness...
the colors i like... i just like seeing detailed craftsmanship....
