Once again, Thanks for the input.

Just to clear up things a little. While the ports were not "tapped" off, they were all plugged. The matting surface for the intake/ exhaust manifold will be cleaned of paint before installation (at which point any overspray will be eliminated). This creates a really nice finish without "lines" or flaking from the paint on a textured metal surface when the tapes removed. The spark plugs were still in place, eliminating any chance of particles entering through the valve cover. Vaccum ports were plugged. Thermostat is not being used, and coolant pipes were intentionally painted so color flows on evrything. I can assure you there are no more dangerous particles in that motor than the ones inhaled from daily use and powdercoated/ painted intake/ charge pipes.

Not to mention, I don't expect this motor to hold up long enough to suffer from any "break down."

I don't expect to please evryone, aspecially when I am practically performing this build under a microscope by showing evryone just about evry step along the way.

But, i do like the feedback. Thanks.

I can't wait to see the finished product. Orange/Black has always been my favorite color combo. Excelent choice I must say.

Furthermore, has anyone here custom painted an engine before? From my experience, this is how it is done, I'm sure it can be done other ways i.e. painting each part individually as there is always more than one way to skin a cat; but for a seemless, finished final product you paint the engine (or long block) as it is fully assembled (no accessories attached).

xIxAMxHOLLYWOODx, TCpete wasnt referring to the way it was done, but more than less the way it was "prepped," which I can understand. I can see people thinking that i was filling the cylinder walls with paint, but thats far from the case.

Look a little closer at the pics, color is blue/ orange

Thanks for the comment.

Quick update, nothing crazy...

Just recieved a package from Compustar! They are THE auto security/ remote starter company to use. We picked up one of there newer LED 2-way units. I will highlight installation methods and tech tips as we put it in. Primarily, we picked up the unit for its Turbo Timer which allows us a cleaner installation without cluttering up the dash with displays.

...more info can be found here:
http://www.compustar.com/main.htm

Look at the 2BLEDR remote and features....

wher did you get the walbro from and is it the plastic impeller or metal. look into the intake end and if the impeller looks brown its prolly the plastic one. if its the metal one let me know the part number as well as wher you got it from.

thanks

crush02342002, are you referring to the in-tank pump? If so, I believe it is metal. The part number is: 20806-1 i believe.

As for where it came from, you would have to contact Todd. He sent me that combo and we use different distributors. I purchase my Walbros from the same company that provides the dual 255 kit for the grand nationals.

UPDATE!

...ok, so I am pretty pumped. Today i recieved a battery relocation box from summit. Nothing fancy, just a standard black abs/ fiberglass box. But thats not why I am pumped.

I am pumped, because i have a nice little box of raw materials to assemble a complete new aluminum intake manifold/ fuel rail setup with additional injectors on the way!

Im not going to spill all the details and shoot myself in the foot just yet, but keep an eye on this thread for some fancy new stuff in the next few days.
