Default turbocharger loosing power *UPDATE ON PG. 2*

hey everyone, i just had a dezod kit put onto my car last friday as most people remember im sure. here the past couple of days i have noticed that it has started to loose some of its power. it is definitly not pulling as hard as it was last weekend. im thinking that maybe it could be because of the exhaust leak that i currently have, but i wont be able to get it welded up until next weekend to find out. it is still hitting 8psi so im loosing boost according to the boost gauge and im still at 10.5 afr at WOT, which is what it was previously tuned at. it is still pulling much harder than stock, but it is not pulling as hard as it was is all im sayin. any information would help me out and if yall need anymore info that i havent posted just let me know and i will reply a.s.a.p, thanks alot guys and gals!

Bump, so you are not lost in the stack.

You sure you are not just use to the power already?

yea, you are most likely just use to the power already, I went through the same thing, when i first got my kit. I thought i was losing power. So I went to a dyno and dynoed it and the numbers were fine. Your most likely just use to the power but if u want to know for sure and you have 75 dollars to just throw down on a dyno run go check it out

yeah when i get it retuned i was prob gonna lean it out a little to around 11-11.5. and thats what i thought at first lol was that maybe i was just getting used to it but i noticed that in 1st and 2nd it hardly spins the tires anymore when it gets into boost like it used to. i will keep everyone updated when i get it welded up and get my aftermarket clutch in. oh and yea im on stock clutch right now but its not really slippin yet though so i dont think thats it. thanks for yalls help so far guys.

maybe since it got alittle warmer, the tires are getting better traction on the warmer pavement, so they aren't spinning as much?

Weather changes will effect the tune....BUT not to the point that your power will stop shredding tires in 2nd gear. If it lit up the tires in 2nd before, it should continue to do that for the life of the turbo. If not, something is wrong.

^^i kinda fig that . im just gonna wait and see if plugging the exhaust leak and gettin my axle back on helps. if not i will just get it retuned a little sooner than i wanted to and hopefully that should help. i mean the car is idleing find and running fine as far as the normal is concerned. nothing sounds or feels unusual. it just doesnt have that pop like it used to. do yall think that maybe the temp being somewhere between 55-70 during the day and 25-40 during the night might be affecting the tune enough to where its throwing it off and causing me to lose that power?

At night, with 25-40 temps, it should rip harder than during the day at 55-70 temps. But nontheless still rip 2nd no matter if it's 100 outside.

your clutch is not holding anymore dude, hehe. Before it starts slipping noticably it'll slip to the point where it won't transfer power. No worries, get ur clutch and get ur tune. Everything will be gravy then,

fyi, when i had that exhaust leak, i threw a code too. i have a catted downpipe so i dont think it was the usual catalyst failure code everyone gets when not using a catted downpipe.
