LOL

Garage, don't worry, I know your work is top notch. I am a future customer. We spoke on AIM, I was the guy having a hard time deciding the color combinations, haha. Thinking a blue and white theme would look rather nice.

Sorry, but you opened your mouth about your kills when I was asking if it was a good idea to get a RX8 and turbo it. Hey man, if you really can beat those cars, I am sure you wouldn't mind making a video of the race. Make sure there is sound, haha.

I sent ya a PM scionkidd, take the man to man advice.

As for this thread, just close it. The rx8 is a poor choice and we all agree on that, even over a turbo tC. Case closed.

Vids prove a LOT especially at the strip with a CLEAR view of the times. Drag times do not tell everything, especially with a FWD car. But if you are out to prove your car is the hotness, then video away

Just be happy you have a turbo tC and it rocks your socks. All that matters is you are happy with your ride.

I beet a F-22 from a roll. lol

I was thinking about getting a RX 8 and throwing a turbo on it. along time ago but I changed my mind.

I have seen a stage 3 SRT4 made 355whp before with the mopar stage 3kit .(Well that's what the owner told me)

u cant judge an srt-4 by what stage they are... so saying u beat a stage 3 doesnt mean much.. unless u have numbers

my freind has mopar stage 2 + toys and hes only at 250 wheel untuned so..

being the previous owner of two RX-7s, i test drove an RX-8 and wasnt all that impressed, power wise. the gearbox feels great but the power just isnt there, compared to the 7s, mazda really cut performance down for the 8's to get better emissions and reliability.

still, its a fun car, but i wouldnt do it. insurance will be much higher, and remember you are dealing with a Rotary engine which if you ask most Rx-8 owners, they have no idea what that is, let alone that it powers their car. the gas consumption (as with any rotary) is poor as well.

If you watch my youtube vid I race a Mopar Stage 2 from 60.

The SRT8 does a 13.5ish quarter mile in stock form....very beatable. The only offer them in auto's.

2006 M5 runs a mid 12 stock. That may be tough.

You couldnt pay me to trade my tC for a SRT4. One of my best friends has one and I hate driving it. Seats suck, Streering wheel sucks, loks like an offroad truck since its not lowered, and the exhaust sounds like a popcorn machine.

I'm not even gonna bother reading this thread, but I will add that the RX-8 is NOT a reliable car...my buddy's mom has one and it burns oil like no other...get's terrible mileage, and it's loosing value like crazy! I mean like it's dropping $2K a month! So she can't even trade it in any more! She HATES it! Oh, and I've driven it...smooth, nice shifting, but no torque whatsoever.
I wouldn't do it.

yeah rotary's are pretty much really big 2-stroke engines. they do eat oil which is required for normal operation.
