Turbo'd Mazda RX8?

what's wierd is the 125 is rated at 250whp and the 135 is listed as 300whp with "Twin Turbo Technology"
I knew it was boosted, but 50 more whp is kinda weak, and what do they mean by "Twin Turbo Technology"? If it was actually a twin setup, you'd think it would get WAY more then just 50whp.

Mr Meaty - OEM manufactures don't throw on turbos for dyno bragging rights. They do it because it's a more efficient way of making power on a smaller displcement engine. This is why they are thinking of doing a turbo setup on the next M models.
The 135 and 335 are VERY mod-able - but of course it costs a pretty penny since it's a BMW. I remember everything for my Audi was expensive just because it was an Audi. A BBK from Brand X was always more expensive compared to a BBK for a Honda. Go figure.

what about the dodge neon srt-4? or the Evo? or the WRX STI? Those all pretty much double output.
just giving you a hard time...anyway...
I know this is more like the Audi and VW turbo setups, where you drive them and they work so well together that there is basically no lag, and you can't even tell it's boosted except for more power.
My question is, what do they mean by "Twin Turbo Technology"? Does it actually have 2 turbos in it?

oh yeah...what I was getting at is that the 128 is about $6K less then the 135, so you could get the 128 and boost it yourself for more power at about the same cost...
...I remember when the WRX first came out, the base impreza was pushin 185whp with the 2.5 boxer and the WRX was pushing 230 with the 2.0 boxer, so alot of guys got the base impreza with the larger engine and boosted that and ended up getting more power then the WRXs at the time...

It will cost more than $6k to turbo a BMW. The engine management alone is a nightmare.
STi, Evo, all have double hp of what? They all use a different engine compared to the base model - just like the 135, 128. It's not a good basis for comparison. Not to mention the STi and Evo were built FOR bragging rights.. the BMW is not doing that .. they claim their badging is bragging rights enough.

Back onto the turbo RX8, the stage 2 greddy kit for it, on 9psi has been proven to put down 326/240 @ 7800 rpm. Too bad that kit costs about $7-8000 with fuel management. Pretty bad for $35,000.

And you don't like the way the rear bumper looks? Why the F*CK did you get a tC in the first place then?

the 125 is no way 250whp... its the same engine as the 325 and my non turbo'd tc beat the 325 lol.. the 335/135 is already very modable theres one in my city with a huge frontmount, full 3" dual exhaust, chip and idk what else but he runs easy 12's
