Default Turbonetics Dyno

I went to have my turbonetics kit installed yesterday. It was very consistent on each pull and running very healthy at stock wastegate boost. A/F was in the tens until about 5,000 rpms where it started to lean out abit and just hit low 11's.

Anyways, I received an RMA from Unichip to send it back to them because there was a problem uploading maps. I figure I'll go back in spring with a new clutch and more boost. I also want to add water/alc. injection before then.

8PSI from my guage. It's whatever the wastgate spring holds.

Also, this is with the stock S-pipe, Megan drift spec with a cat and resonator welded in. It's really quiet and that's probably causing me to lose about 10hp.

ya, upgrade to a 2.5" turbo back and you will feel some gains..

It is 2.5 except for the small section of the S-pipe. I think the Magnaflow cat is what is making the car so quiet.

ps the s-pipe is the most restrictive part of the entire exhaust system .. let me be the first to DEMAND you upgrade that ;)

It's on the list for sure. I had the Wepon R header before which had it's own S-pipe so I just added the stock one to make the exhaust whole.

Whatever the Turbonetics kit comes with, I think 610cc.

Just a follow up FYI.

I spoke with Unichip and the reason that my car could not be tuned is that Turbonetics has locked the map. So, in order to tune, they have to erase the map completely and start over with a fresh new map.
GRD told me that is what they had to do to tune IgnitionR34's car.

^^ yes this is exactly what they had to do. My unichip didn't have the up to date firmware. So they had to upload that in my computer, then they tuned it. I was at GRD basically for a loong as time, but they only charged me for 1 hour for the tune cuz thas how long the tunning took.

p.s. waht does rma mean??

Return Merchandise Authorization. It basically means that they are expecting it to be sent back. You were lucky that they were able to do all of that in house so you didn't have to send you Unichip back. I think I may have an older version and that may be why. The guy from Unichip has been very nice and offered to do some sort of swap so I don't have to drive the car without a tune. I'm going to wait till spring though I guess.

My peak HP would be better because I have an exhaust. It will be even better once I change out the S-pipe.
