Default turbonetics install completed

it took about 6 hours or so, no real headaches, although i do have a few pointers,

when your tapping your threads have the tap really greased up, go about halfway in then reverse it out and clean it and go all the way in with clean grease to make sure you are keeping the passages as free of metal shavings and debris as you can,

while i was punching into the oil pan my punch started to fold on me have a file or a grinder ready incase this happens, ohhh and have a great time punching it too

keep your blow off recir tube on!!! i took it off for the "coolness factor" but not too cool when your car idles terribly and stalls once and a while, keep it on!!!

when you mount your BOV attach the vaccum line to the top port! not the bottom one like me! the BOV wont work properly,

put your heat shield on, i got everything together and thought, naww i dont need it! well you do i got a big burn mark on my hood insulation, ill show the pic in a minute

as far as power goes, its there whenever you need it, on hills on the freeway where i would need to downshift are a thing of the past, the power feels very good and the turbo spooling is crazy its the coolest sound,

and for the pics!

this little dohicky doesnt have a mount anymore

this is the vaccum line from the throttle body, the orgininal vaccum T with the kit didnt work, i needed to run to pep boys for this, i recomend the universal for the easiest install, cut where you need and drill it for unrestricted flow

if you look closely you can see its grinded a little, have a file ready in case your punch folds over while your hammering it

this is the hole burned when you dont use the heat shield, use it!

THANK YOU TURBONETICS FOR MAKING SUCH A GREAT KIT!!!

also i will probably be going to LACR next wensday or friday, if anyone wants to go

i love it when people run into the same problems I did. LOL
Congrats on the kit and good luck at the track. It's one of the few 1/4 mile tracks around and no one seems to want to post their numbers when they do go. Can't wait to see them...

Depends on where you get it. Anywhere from $4400-4800. Congrats on yet ANOTHER satisfied Turbonetics owner

ill get dyno numbers in september, i took a dyno class at the local junior college and ill do that then, hoping for some good numbers!

for the oil pan you have the punch and you punch a hole in the oil pan and it makes a hole like a bullet would, pushing the material into the oil pan and you tap into the material with the tap

ill get vids soon, i got a freind with a gt mustang im gonna eat up and lacr friday so expect vids soon, maybe the dyno too, ill see

as for the clutch, i just got the car, 780 miles so far, so no probs, but when it does go out gonna prolly go all out with limited slip, lightened flywheel, and stage 2 or 3 clutch

yeah i dont see how punching the hole in the pan could keep your warranty, but worth the benefit!!

you also need a bigger hammer, cuz its going to take long with a small hammer. that freakin pan was hella hard. I had to drill hole a little bit, so the punch will remain steady as i hammered it. otherwise its gonna bounce around.
