You must be ForPink`s brother, haha. Anyway, the GReddy turbo kit does have problems. One, they use worm gear instead of T-Bolts. Two, their wastegate is internal and gets stuck sometime. Also, the Turbonetics does have problems. One, their seals can give out easily. Two, it gets so hot that it damages the hood liner I hear. Hope this helps.

Go with either Dezod, for great customer service and parts, or Turbo Toyotas, for more potential. Good luck.

What kind of power are you looking to make that you could not achieve with the stage 1 turbo??

People have had a few problems with the Greddy turbo - but overall people don't have problems with it (it's mainly the internal waste gate people are having probs with).

Also - the Greddy stage one does not come with a Blow off Valve or an intercooler - both kinda of bad ideas.

Blow of valves extend the life of your turbo and the intercooler cools off the hot exhaust gases you are putting back into your car - those are other reasons why some people stray away from the Greddy kit.

Most people here on Scion Life have Dezod, TurboToyotas, ZPI (which no longer exists), Turbonetics or Treadstone.

Dezod - www.dezod.com
Turbo Toyotas - www.whyindustries.com
Turbonetics - www.turboneticsinc.com/
Treadstone - www.treadstoneperformance.com

-hope I helped you.

turbonetics sucks unless you work out a custom watercooled system...

just go with dezod or turbo toyotas.

Yeah - quite a few people here are running turbonetics kits. ZPI shut down due to bad management/ bad business practices.

What makes you dead set on Turbonetics?

Go with Dezod dude, their customer service is immaculate. They actually care if you are satisfied or not. If I ever have a different car and want to install a turbo, they will be the 1st people I will go to. Dezod FTW.

Greddy doesn't come with BOV or IC? So it's basically the ZPI Stage 0? Didn't know that.

Anyway, for what you want, small boost, easy on the car, I woudl go with one of dezods smaller kits or the Turbo Toyotas stage 1GT. I have the Turbo Toyotas stage 1 (not GT) which is good for more power, but the GT has the BB turbo, so should spool quicker and last longer.
You can get a BB upgrade with any of Dezods kits as well.

yeah, the dezod kits use emanage instead of unichip as a piggyback ecu.

both can get the job done when tuning the car, but if you want to get your car properly tuned with a unichip, you have to find and go to a unichip tuner, while emanage can be tuned by just about anybody that knows how to.

Well, it's included. You could buy a greddy or aem seperately, but then that's another $400 for the unit and $300 for the harness, so that ups the price.

Plus, with the dezod kit, it is more customizable for your particular needs. It also has more potential.

I don't see why not. But you unichip has a base tune, so you could run that for awhile. Then later, pull it and add the emanage and get that tuned.

Best lookin kit for the tC ever! "forpinks TRD Spec edition"

GReddy Turbo, 550cc injectors, your choice of engine management w/ harness, boost, AFR, EGT gauges, A-pillar gauge pod and GReddy RS BOV (opt. Candy Red high heat paint and flat black high heat paint, red or black rubber connectors, TRD stickers and some nice lookin hoses) for the mother****** win!!! (+ it's a well known brand!) all for 4grand.

OH, and I'm drunk! (I had a quarter bottle of Jack and a bottle of Coke to taste.)

Remember: You can always install a BOV and the GReddy kit comes with a nice intercooler for 2600 (800bucks extra for EM and injectors) + that SUS manifold is the best lookin one!
