By the way, there is a new thread of a guy running the Turbonetics Kit. Posted a 14.0 flat down the 1/4 mile, with dyno #'s of 243whp.

Thread found here: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...520337#1520337

Yea, its good to see other people besides the company car running their turbo kits.

Dezod, Turbonetics have posted times with current customers. I have yet to see a ZPI Stage 1 customer run a 12. Non Shop car...

Hopefully someone can come out and prove me wrong.

Would rythmnsmoke be classified as a customer or shop car? Everyone here knows they are the biggest ZPI supporter and they are getting a custom setup done by them so by assumption you could classify them as a shop car/project car.

I dunno, just seems like every car ZPI does is a project car and they are doing custom work to it. What I see IMHO is customer cars turning shop cars

Hopefully Rhythmnsmoke lets his girl drive a bone stock stage 1 setup with street tires. So we can get some real time numbers on the kit, besides ZPI themselves.

You guys crack me up. Good one. I don't even know myself if we would be considered a shop car or a customer car. And just about every ZPI car is custom done. As you get to pick and choose what color your pipes are, what BOV you want, other little tid bit things that makes your kit different than any of the previous Stage 1 kit guys. Each one of us will be slightly different on tune and specs. And You know we will be gunning for 12's. Even if it's a 12.999, I will be happy with it being a daily driver.

Soon though, Daily driving will be tossed out the window, and we will reach higher. I will get another engine just to have as a spare, when I blow this one up...LOL.

Well i had no intentions to offend you rythmn, its just that you have close ties to zpi so ergo you COULD be a project car of theirs...i dunno

quite frankly i dont care...we're all boosted, no one is better than each other, soon enough we'll all get together and have a blast at a 1/4 track

Maybe Pollup can take his car to the 1/4 and see what he can run. He has the Stage 1 kit and is a "normal" driver id assume. Plus his car is a Daily Driver.

Oh, I know you wasn't trying to offend me. I thought you were complimenting me actually.

Yeah, Pollup admits he isn't a good driver. And that he has never been to the 1/4 track before. But he would need to lean his a/f ratio out before going down the 1/4. He said he was running pig rich, so a tune before the track would be well rewarding. On top of that, he is running stock everything else. So, that would be a real treat to see.

However, You guys do know about the Black tC with a Stage 1 on it and ZPI exhaust but stock everything else (Down to the OEM Scion tires) and on 8psi running a 13.7 right?

With good tires, decent clutch, and on the typical 10psi that it comes with out of the box, what do you think would happen....LOL. Got 12's?

Exactly why I want to see him run. He is the perfect canidate.

The guy in the Turbonetics tC, the thread you listed that ran a 14.0. He admitted he wasnt the best driver either. And his car is a DD as well.

Yeah, and Pollup dyno's higher than the Turbonetics kit normal dyno's.

But hey, you shouldn't count me out, and say I don't count...that's not fair.

I might be running 8psi, I have yet to find out.

Yeah I know...lol. I love it though to be honest. My girl being able to launch the tC = hotness, and she's all mine...LOL We will need to relearn how to launch now though, seeing as how we are use to the N/A launch. Now we have to figure out what to do under boost.

Anyhow, I found Pollup's #'s. 263.1whp 281.2 tq running pig rich. If that's running rich, imagine what it would do if leaned out a little.

Oh. I see.

But you do know ZPI dosen't slap the same tune on everyones car right? Not like a stamped and packaged tune that you would see on say an ordered Turbonetics kit where everyone gets the same thing. They tunned Pollups that way, to be on the safe side because he had to drive through mountains on the way back home from his visit with ZPI.

Yes I know this, lemme reword it.
Id rather see him run with the tune he runs daily, one that he feels safe and comfortable for his motor.
