update on my install...running 270whp with todd's stage 1 gt. @ 100 degrees outside with 100% humidity...another words, still really solid whp for that heat...this is a very conservative tune too and low for this turbo...i want to get used to having this much power before i tune it for more power.

Thanks Todd...

I will soon post a new thread with pictures because I have had parts painted and ceramic coated for shows and such.

NICE one!
That's about how mine was, high heat, but lower humidity.
What psi did you hit 270 at? And what management you using?

not planning on it, but i know the second that thing comes in the mail im gonna be anxious to start installation.
nvm, ill just wait
hahahahaha, great post halo
you know how it is dude. gimme a break!

and meaty. that sounds like a great deal! if that is the case, and mark and chris pitch in and are down with it, then ill wait to install my kit until that guy comes down. he can tune 4 tC's. 2 TT and 2 ZPI.
i dont know when my kit is supposed to come in.... TODD?????
and i dont even have injectors or my harness for the emanage. lol
lol just messin' man. if you ordered your kit from the new batch that was just in production, you should have it pretty soon. i dunno what your specific circumstance is, but Todd estimated that mine would get shipped out within a week barring any new setbacks, so hopefully yours will too? lol i still haven't ordered an emanage harness... better get on that...

What do you mean by "sit's for a little bit"?
They must have drove mine everday, caue they used an entire tank of gas the week they had it. And I dont' think I have gone more then a day without driving it.
However, with my tune, speeding around is fine, but whenever I cruize on the freeway to work, my CEL comes on reading too rich, and then my tune is useless.

No, the tuning didn't suck. My car is running great. It's just not a GREAT tune. I want my AFRs in the 11s througout boost, not just at WOT. And I'd like to have no CEL.
And I posted up TONS of pics in my thread that I linked to on the previouse page.

If my car is off for a couple hours, it runs just the same.
What have you been doing? goign back to the tuner everytime it freaks out? Or just resetting the ECU every time?

todd messaged me and told me that my kit wont be shipped out until monday august 20th
so i have a little time to get everything in order.
i still dont know what i want to do with the tuning. hopefully that guy will come down and tune king meatys car and mine. and also the 2 zpi guys down here.

Pretty much but its only freaked out once on me and I sent it back same day that I picked it up...Ive been going by there everyday to check on it and give any ideas that I have had from you guys on here and todd or whoever gives me ideas. Im pretty sure it was the injector harness..The computer was taking control of the injectors so my settings on the MAF sensor were overridden because the computer was getting smarter than the emanage...(Self Learning Computers are ridiculous)...so We are fixing the injector harness which will stay in control of the ecu the entire time and won't let the ecu outlearn my tuning. So basically I wasted a couple of hours of money on tuning because we have to start from scratch on it once we fix the injectors.

But other than that, when the car was running, it is AWESOME...talk about throwing your head back when you hit boost...If Im on WOT and it doesn't matter which gear im in or what speed, its hard to let the tires grab because of our much power its pushing.

Its a sweet setup.

Todd dont worry, once I get the car back, im making a thread with pics and results and stories of terrorizing Hampton Roads VA with it. Or how many tickets I get.

I like the sound of TurboToyotas Turbo kits and I just got done reading ALL 24 pages on this thread and i just have one question.

I have been researching Dezod S1 kit for my auto and figured i might as well research TTs as well since i heard it was like the way to go for future upgrades.

From the posts i've read here and seeing this as a fairly new kit especially for my 07, i've only read of bout 2-3 people who have them and am reading problems such as Meaty that i am not comfortable with.

I am researching turbos for the purpose to up the power in my tc fairly good. TT's GT stage 1 turbo sounds GREAT but i have also been thinkin about the Stage 2 doesn't require too much more money in terms of replacing the internals of the motor. The main goal is for utmost highest durability and reliability because this is my only daily driver i have so sudden problems every other week are not acceptable!

I trust that TT knows what they are doing or they would not be a high choice and offer so many options.

However, it seems as if the tCs are having stability problems with idling and\or AFR ratios which would lead to a not-so good reliable setup in the long run.

Are these problems purely related to the tuners themselves not being experienced or does it have to do the ECU... or maybe the Fuel Management system?

If I find out the tuner in my area has never done a TT install, how confident should i be to allow him to do it anyway if i chose to go with a TT kit?

I do not cut corners like others have on this forum due to money issues.

If i purchase a kit from TT, i'll make sure I have everything i need the day everything gets installed such as the proper injectors, management system, ALL parts ceramic coated, hood heat shielded.
There should be no CEL, that's my aim on a turbo install.

Someone please comment on this because after reading this whole thread, it almost sounds like it's a guessing game to properly tune these TT kits properly for longevity use.

Where do you live? Get a tune from Arizona if you are somewhere near... I guess it's always the non specialist on tC tuners fault.

i am in kentucky so arizona is a little far from around the corner.

I'll call him monday to see what he says about TT.
The thing is i own an 07 auto tc, the tuner just so happens to own an 06 manual tc with a dezod S1 turbo on it so he's real familiar with that.

you're going to need a nice amount of transmission work before you can safely drive around on a TT kit, but if you do go that route, it should be amazing! about tuning- i'd attribute these issues so far to tuner inexperience (not incompetence, there's a diff.) when it comes to tuning a turbo'd tC. as you know, our ECUs are pretty advanced to be getting really good tunes quickly on basic piggybacks at the hands of an average tuner. todd's kits seem to be up there in quality, design, and power. of course i don't know for absolute certain yet as mine is still on its way, but from what i've heard, TT is an A+ establishment thus far.
