Default Turbotoyotas "Twin-scroll" Mani NEW PICTS

For those wanting the most out of there turbo systems....

This is the mani for you

Twin-scroll, divided dual wastegate Turbo Manifold.

Granted you will need to change your turbine housing and buy another wg

Again.....just a tacked together piece...final will be alittle diff. WG's will sit about 1/4 further back.

ENJOY!!!!

hey todd, this mani would be able to go on your stage 1 kit. im sure. what modifications would one have to do to get it on there???

also what would be the advantage of having the twin scroll with dual wastegates? thanks!

Direct replacement

No Mods.......just another wg and a change to a divided turbine housing

also what would be the advantage of having the twin scroll with dual wastegates?
You have to use it with a divided housing to take full advantage of the "twin scroll" design. Tremendous increase in response and boost control. Its like having a totally diff turbo system.

You dont have to use 2 wastegates to make this work. I could merge the 2 collectors into one wg flange but that would cost more than having to purchase another wg.

Plus there is the "awe" factor when you open the hood

Regards-

Todd

I believe twin scoll set-ups are for those running high PSI settings. It allows for a more precise control of the pressure and the like.

50% correct...on the boost control part

For small displacment motors...1.8-2.4 liters trying to get a large turbo like the GT40R's and GT42R's and the equivelant Borg Warner turbos to spool you need all the help you can get.

They come with divided housings for a reason...when paired with a divided manifold you get a tremendous increase in response (spool) and an increase in midrange power.

And its not just for the big guys...There is a huge increase in response for the small turbos as well.

Its really crazy how much of a diff it makes.

Regards-

Todd

HOLY CRAP! What the hell!
are we talking about quicker spool, higher power at the same PSI, or just a change in the power curve?

If anyone could take advantage of this, it would be you, hough. but you would have to get a new divided housing on your turbo. Yours is a garrett, right? Maybe todd could get that for you as well?

I thought it was that manifold but not for the dual wastegate setup...thought it was gonna be more like the gen1 mani into a single chamber

From a visual standpoint, I have to say I'm not really feeling that manifold.

Depending on it's price, it could be a good sale, but visually speaking...comparing it to the Full Race twin WG port manifold....I'm just not feeling that.
