This decreases the turbulence at the point where the runners meet and help for a quicker spool (less obstruction, the quicker stuff can go through)

please correct me if I am wrong as I am very new to this myself.
actually, i'm pretty sure in this situation, cyl 1 and 4 would collect together, and cyl 3 and 2 would collect together.

if 1 and 3, 4 and 2 collected together, there would be more backpressure and turbulence.

follow:

1 fires first, then 3 fires fractions of a second after, if they both collected into the same runner, the gases from 1 would still be flowing thru the runner as 3's exhaust valves are opening.

if..... 1 fires, then 3 fires and dumps into a different runner, then by the time 4 fires, the gases from cyl 1 will be more evacuated. and same thing with the other cylinders.

anyone else?
makes sense... thanks for the correction!

whats the diameter of the runners? they look really wide... although i guess they might be thicker. i'm just thinking you might lose a little pressure and have slower spool up. idk though.

Pictures do not do the polished manifolds justice....belongs on my dining room table as the center piece.

Enjoy!!

The runners are actually more narrow than what the Version 1s were like. The Version 1s had fast spool time(my full 10psi was kickin in at about 3000rpm), these are supposed to be even quicker!

supposed to be??? thats great. though it means nothing.

so do we actually have the internal diameter of the runners measured and know that its indeed narrower, or is that just a guess or something you heard.

either way, i don't care. i'm quite confident that this manifold will have better performance characteristsis than a log manifold.

the only thing i'm not sure about is whether you really need 2 wastegates, and if the wastegate positions are optimal--they appear to evacuate predominantly from one runner.

You'd have to see how the runners are devided in the flange to deterimine how optimal their placement is. And that polished one looks way thicker then the non-polished one does, as does all Todd's mani's after they are coated.

true. i can't see inside, so i really have no idea. i mean, it looks good. i certainly couldn't make that, so who am i to criticize. I'm just making some observations.

and as i said before, imo its clearly the best designed manifold out there for the tc so far.

Actually its not a guess, thats what I was told by Todd...seeing as how thats MY car in the pics u see, i think it means something...your sarcasm and rudeness is not necessary nor is it welcomed.

All the new manifolds are made with a smaller inner diameter than the older style

Increase in velocity without effecting flow

UPDATED INSTALLED PICTS:

Enjoy !
