1000hp?? unless your seriously obsessed with the tc, good luck. your gonna spend so much money its ridiculous. mind as well buy a zr1

it has been done, and can be done. but with a lot of money, and a lot of experience, and a lot of accidental deaths. if your trying to push that kind of power, the tc isnt really the best choice in my opinion. im just sayin, if i was gonna do a project that big, id do it in a car that i wouldnt have to replace just about everything

thats not my main obsticale but its the one im at now in my peicing together of my parts list n everyone can buy a vette or supra or camaro n make big power out of them n i rather put my money in the motor and power then go out and get a custom body kit with custom paint n suede interior n put thousands in looks of the car like y no one has made the own stroker kit with some custom internals like a knifed crank with some ti. rods n 8:1 comparsion piston n yes it cost money to do anything but if no one sent it n tried something no no one would do it now

......there is a reason people use those platforms. it's because they are good cars.

and so are the tcs and i got the car from my insurance for free so that saves me alot of money to start n the motor is a good base for me to work on my engine building if i have unlimited funds i would make the motor run like a lexas lfa i love how that car sounds n runs true engineering magic

Properly built, the 2AZ can take ALOT, its the other things that start to break lol. good luck my friend - you have my admiration. Im happy with just making 600whp reliably at this point lol. At some point it gets to the point where the car is in the garage more than youre dirving it, and that is no fun This year my car has definitely seen more garage time than street time.

Also, let me pass on some info as to what youll need, Ive learned this from experience trying to make big power with the tc...

A) A trans that will hold the power
B) Twin disc that will hold alot of power - prob something like a Tilton.
C) A way to get the big power to the ground - at this point the only viable option seems to be M&H DOT Street/Strips if you want to play around on the street at all, otherwise slicks only.
D) A way to control boost by gear - if you have an AEM EMS, you can do this easilly.

*Also from what Ive gathered, if you can eliminate wheel hop and tire spin, the stock trans should actually hold up to quite a bit of power (600+). Hopefully Ill be testing this soon

the aem i will be using n i have been build my car for the last two yearsso far n it ahsnt seen the street in that long n the car wont me on the street much it sits on 275/35/15 hoosier r6 slicks i got the tire down as for the trans ill have it built or get some of those ptunning gears in it n how is the clutchmasters twin disc nim working on a engine cage that bolts to a couple spots on the motor n then to the rollcage so the motor in not be causing any wheel hop n i would be happy with 600 but with all the motor work im doing i no i get a lot more out of it with out any motor problems
