the hydra ecu is available? because im assuming thats a ecu reflash? And i heard the greddy emanage isnt enough for a good tune.

Yeh i agree with you guys about the price, that setup would probably cost more than our cars alone lol. But i guess thats why scion made it fairly cheap to buy, inorder for the buyer to super tune it =D.

the hydra ecu is available yes. its around 1700 to 1800 if im not mistaken. it controls all the functions of the motor while your stock ecu controls all the other functions of the vehicle. emanage is not powerful enough to handle such a setup.

To be sure, the Hydra goes for around 2,000 dollars; it does not go for 2000Gs, or, 2,000,000 dollars.

twincharging with a centrifugal supercharger seems so pointless....
now with a roots type blower.....

I thought the tC supercharger was some kind of hybrid between centrifugal and roots? Or maybe it was some kind of hybrid between a supercharger and a turbo charger? or wait, maybe.... nah it's pointless, you're right :D

Whatever 2Gs, you all know what I am talking about.

Anyway. I wish the show the car in action in the video clip.

An honest mistake of course, but ehh, better safe than sorry.

Anyways, there are some MINIs that are twin charged. There's still a point to twincharging... if you want to run like, a GT47 or something.

If done right, twin charging is great, and if I were to do it with my tC it would be with a LARGE turbo, and essentially the S/C would help to spool the turbo faster for less or no lag.

But if it is 300 - 350 whp it seems like overkill for just that amount. With internals and a good turbo set up you can pull that much.
yeah i have to agree, i am building a turbo kit that is gonna put me around 300 whp. i would say that car prollie is around 450. needs to do some weight reduction and there will be a ballin ___ ride!

ok guys, that car belong to a friend of mine and the only reason he wanted to twin charge it was to create a car that is different then what you would see on the street. is it the best way to make the power? not at all, in fact when the time comes, it will most likely just be turbocharged. The hydra ecu is being used, but we may have had a problem with the ecu since it wasn't holding a tune. The downpipe had to be pie cut like that to clear (a/c compressor?) since he wanted to keep the a/c functional, it also looks cool from a fabricator stand point...check out the japanese tuner cars and their exhausts, downpipes, i/c piping.

Regardless, this setup is hot imo, something new and exotic. I have to agree with the point that the supercharger was probably used to spool the turbo better and no turbo lag. Of course since this was probably the first ever twin charged tC out there, there is room for chances and more tweaks, so that the supercharger will work with the turbo charge in perfect sink so it would produce outstanding results. This setup simply fascinated me, because it was the first ever tC i've ever seen tuned like this.

One more thing lets not take any of these comments too personally. Of course this setup will have its ups and downs, this is just a general talk about it. As the years go by and if they keep the Gojira and continue to tune it, it'll only get better and hey you never know, they may be able to perfect this setup and give tC's a whole new kit setup, which will definitely put the tCs higher on the competitors list.

=D
