I need to get my project on my ZX2 moving along. I miss the sound of a large turbo spooling... followed by a PSSSSHHHH

Blow-off valve vents to atmosphere during shifts, etc. Bypass valves do not vent, they recirculate the air back into the intake, hence no 'psshh' during shifts.

BTW a little bit better pictures of the pulley bolt and the airbox are on page one (might have to force the browser to refresh that page since I just replaced the low res pics on the server).

OMG! I can do that too! All I need is a video camera, and I can get one of those less than 4 G's! Heck, I can get a few cameras for the price you paid for that slug of a supercharger. Dont shoot too many videos, you just might blow your motor kid.

Go back to modifying your stripped down tC for "show" and pimping with your "homies" on myspace. With the amount of money you wasted making your car look like a pack of clowns got their hands on it I could have a couple superchargers. Don't make too many more "show" modifications or you might just have your third grade classmates start laughing at you.

Nope, the car is brandspankin', not been to one show yet. Just sayin' it's junk, I would only be a tool for doing what you did. 2 g's more you could have rebuilt the engine, dropped in a nasty turbo, and blown the doors off any TRD Supercharged tC, or a Ford Escort for that matter. Tell me how an RS3 can be stripped down, compared to a base model. It's all good though.

Everything is junk when you don't have it. It costs a lot more than 5g to build a motor and put a turbo on it, given a decent turbo setup is 5g alone. This is my daily driver, I don't need another fast money pit. FWD cars with "nasty" turbo setups suck as a DD when you actually need the power in the early gears, no thank you, I've got one of those already. I was expecting to see some clown jump in and start slinging bs around. Tool.

You must of gotten up on the wrong side of the bed. Don't like what you see? Move the ____ on because I don't give a ____ what you think.

How about this, when you start paying for my car and it's modifications then you can tell me what to do with it, ok?

PS: How many tC's trapping 115mph+ are currently roaming the streets? Cause it's going to take at least one of those to beat my pos Ford Escort, and it's not even packing a built engine yet. Yeah I think I'll stick with my 2400lb money pit, thank you very much.

I kind of like the intake box. I wish they would of made that type intake box can for the 05 and the 06.

Are you planning to race a stock 05-06 supercharged tC to see the out come?

took mine in today for the waranty manager to take a look at it, they are going to replace the Charger. The housing the holds the bearings on the pulley side cracked where it meets the head. Should have a Fresh Charger under my hood next week. though theres not actually anything wrong with the S/C other than that crack.

I would this weekend if I wasn't on-call at work. Probably go up next weekend and give it a shot. Haven't raced the tC yet, but I've got plenty of experience at the tracking beating up my poor ZX2 when it was N/A. We'll see how traction holds up at the track with the S/C, hasn't been too bad on the street.

Glad to hear they're fixing it, and I'll be watching mine to see how it holds up.

1st 07 sc customer just picked their car after install. Kit looks good, brackets are a lot beefier, belt system looks a lot better, and the sc belt is nice soft rubber so definatly no slipping. And yea there is a special lock bolt that hold the sc pulley to the shaft, along with a seal (looks like a glob of thick paint) to tell if the bolt has been removed.

Sweet! Any info on the bypass valve? Does the one TRD supply still the same one as the 05-06's that like to leak?

ps: Even with a certain someone's negative comments *cough*, it's still nice to be the first 07 S/C on here.
