Default Typo? On TRDSparks?

Warranty:

TRD Superchargers are warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles from the date of installation or the remainder of the vehicle powertrain warranty, whichever provides greater coverage, when the Supercharger is installed by an authorized Toyota or Scion dealer.

TRD Supercharger units sold over the counter and installed by anyone other than an authorized Toyota or Scion dealer are warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles from the date of purchase. The warranty coverage on these units is limited to the replacement value of the Supercharger and does not include labor.

Same warranty if installed by Toyota/Scion vs independant shops/DIY?

That's not the same. You're reading it wrong. If a dealer installs it, you get 12/12k OR the remainder of the powertrain - whichever is longer. If someone else installs it, you ONLY get the 12/12k.

Ooo... thats cool. So does that mean if I got my car in Aug of 04 I will have 2 more years? Its 5 yrs or 60K which ever come 1st huh?

Cause I only have 17K on my car... thats pretty darn good for an almost 3 yr old car.

ur correct. u will have the balance of the time left on ur warranty since u will prolly not get to the 60k b4 ur 5 yrs r up. i had 1 put on my taco installed at the dealer so i could take advantage of the warranty. was worth the money to extend the warranty by 4 yrs.

it also states that if dealer installs, the warrantee is good from date of INSTALL.

if NOT by dealer, its 12mo/12k miles from the date of PURCHASE.

plus, if something fails and they can prove it was becuase of the install (similar to getting aftermarket parts and warranty), they're not liable.

I'm in about the same boat for mileage for my car. About to order the SC from them.
