so no one knew wtf happen to my uego i even checked the aem forums and nothing so i called aem myself and the tech guy told me to test the uego by connecting it straight to the battery and it had no power that way either so it wasnt my wiring..which as most of you guys know by now im bad at wires lol. next they had me smell the back of the gauge at first i didnt belive the tech guy i thought he just wanted to pull my leg and make me feel like a jackass....but he said to smell because maybe i fried it some how. again this wasnt my problem finally they emailed me a shipping label and off to the post office i went where i had to ship the little booger to aem to get worked on.
so if anyone ever has this problem hope this helps you out.

I have seen some that come brand new out of the box broken.

I think it's a connection issue on their boards. Some have been good and some have been the opposite of good.

I found that when this happened if I played with the connection on at the gauge itself I could get it to turn on and off.

that wasnt the issue we found...dead short on the sensor harness caused by being too close to the downpipe. So far out of 5 of my own aem gauges and 10 of customers iv never had any issues out of the box. so far this has been the first issue with an aem gauge iv seen personaly and it was an issue that could have been avoided. Thats not saying goofy stuff doesnt happen out of the box from time to time, just havnt dealt with it as of yet.
