Default Uh-Oh?

Well my friends, looks like something blew up. I mean, seriously, I was driving on the interstate and some smoke blew in through the center air vents and felt a lag in power, then the power came back, so figured it was nothing, but still wanted to check when I got back with my group. When I got back, I checked under the hood and there was oil everywhere. On the turbo, under the turbo, on the valve cover, on the block, even under the hood. So, I am pretty sure something blew up. The interesting thing is that I was changing my oil the night before and noticed some dirt covered oil on the pan, meaning its been like that for quite awhile, so figured it was pretty small. Also, my friend with an Evolution whom he is buidling said SAME thing happened to him and it totally f*cked everything up, spun the bearings, etc. So, he is thinking the same thing is happening to me. The best thing about this is that I have a sleeved motor, built head (supposedly), and custom cams (supposedly) from 318_tC and rods, valve kit from Dezod, main and rod bearings, head gasket from Cometic. I think that is about it. I just need pistons. But, yea, I basically have a back up plan, so looks like I may need to skip to a Stage 2.5 of my plans. Because I cant afford a standalone as I gotta get pistons, piston parts, motor built, port and polish the head, etc. So, thinking going for 400WHP for starters. Any ideas on what the problem is? And no bantering about my "rampage" because I was having a terrible night relating to family health. But, yea, hope you have suggestions or ideas.

That's all very hard to say, bro..

Where was the oil coming from? You said it was on the turbo, under it, on valve cover.. find out where it came from.

I would wipe down the whole engine bay and run the car to see where it's coming from. It could be something as minor as a valve cover gasket.

Take some pics

If you had a hole in your block your car wouldn't be moving. and you wouldn't have any oil left in your pan either. Sounds to me like you burst a leak on your oil feed line somewhere. Hard to say but yes clean everything thoroughly and start up car to see where the oil is coming from.

What they said.... It sounds to me like you blew an oil feed line because if you spun a bearing or blew something up the motor would have seized up and shut off. Does the car still turn on and start? If it does then you didnt blow your motor.

Were you under boost when the smoke happened?

Actually, I didn't because I can still boost. But, it does sound different. Oh well, I will be faster than Garabaldy sooner than later apparently. Boy, I loved it when you were absent.

Not sure, hard to see the one under the turbo, I think that is where it's coming from. Just not sure how the top of it, the charge piping next to the intake piping, BOV, valve cover, and the underside of the hood got oil on it. Plus, my A/C is not working, so...

I meant the plastic valve cover, not the actual one under it.

I'm tellin you - you won't find anything until you clean it up and look for the oil leak.

Meh, not sure if pictures will help. It's just all over. I cleaned it up though. It might only leak during boost or something. I will get it checked soon though.
