unichip for TRD supercharger
#27
Omg I can't wait man! I'm gonna get the flux thing too, cause I have a samsung omnia w windows mobile. Virtual dyno, rpms, obd2 scan tool to pull and clear codes, map switching including 5 preset maps w immobilizer function, valet mode w rpm limiter, etc all right from your phone wireless via bluetooth....that's incredibly sick.

It looks like this is going to be good for the SC folks. The top HP I got seemed a bit low but that may have just been the dyno. The important part was the HP gained from the unichip and the tune.
He had run a baseline on the TRD tune but cut it short on rpms slightly so you need to extrapolate a bit. I of course didn't take a picture of the final run which put me just shy of 230hp. This was up from the baseline which would have been in the 200-205 range. So over all about a 25-30 hp increase just from the tune.
Here are some pics I snapped during the runs. The red line is the TRD tune which is trash.
The unichip guy had already called him about getting the tune from him but I had rescheduled. So for those who want it, it will be available directly from unichip now. The tuner set me with two tunes since you can do that with the unichip. One is what he did today, the other is a summer tune with 3 less degrees of timing since it gets HOT here. So thats pretty cool.
I will be getting the full image package from him via email tomorrow but his computer wasn't behaving today so I only had my pics.
Overall I would say it was successful and definately now an off the shelf option for SC people and will not need to go to a dyno, just plug and play. Driving home I could definately feel the difference and I am happy with the results. Now just have an inch to do more now lol.

baseline would only have been 205 @ 9.5 lbs, thats low, like u said maybe its the dyno? Should be closer to like 220 @ 9.5 lbs but whatever, 30 hp gain is sick, I knew the unichip would be our best option I'm definetly doing it as soon as it is available. Who should I contact about this? When I contacted unichip before they knew there was a supercharger tune available but weren't aware of what was going on with your car. Also, are you running any mods other than just the 9.5 lb pulley? Did the tuner have any trouble adding timing with the TRD tune?
