Never heard of problems with a pulley, less from a conbination of a pulley and flywheel. But, there isn't anyone with ENOUGH mileage to tell if there is a difference. Nothing can yet be proven.

ZPI's version 1 pulley was actually the agency power pulley, just with a few dollars extra tacked on..

I currently have it on my car, it's a great pulley.

Why do you believe that?

Personal preferance. Just seems like a lot of stress on the engine. So, that's my opinion on it.

what could happen if you run both in a boosted tc? (cuz im planning to get the ZPI pulley and the CM flywheel)
What could happen?

well alot less drag on your engine, faster spooling of the turbo, faster revs, more power, more power, and more power.

I don't see why you wouldn't run both.

The Big Evo 16G that comes in the ZPI kits is one of, if not THE fastest spooling turbine of the kits, I don't see you reacting fast enough to the speed the RPM's come at you in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear, if you run both a Flywheel and a Pulley. That's MAJOR SPIN ACTION.

Would you buy this? Cause if you want it make me an offer.

ZPI I'm not going to say no to a free one or a refund it would be nice to get some of my money back since I was going to sell it.
I would consider it if it were anodized.

I actually think of it as less stress because of the lack of weight, but take in mind that people with this kind of mods go CRAZY and try to take it to redline ALWAYS, just to see the revs go high very fast, get my point? I think that if you treat it nicely, then everything would be okay. :D

exactly my point. more power = more fun.

This is a pic from ZPI's shop, on the left are anodized pulleys and the right non anodized pulleys. Mine is 100% anodized.

Maybe its just the picture but yours looks like a stained bare aluminum unandodized pulley. The pulleys on the left looks anodized dark grey. Not trying to be a *****.

This is an isolated event. It's not a cut and dry case in that your pulley had a defect in it. This seems to be along the lines of:

"quick installation to get a dyno run in to see what it can do"

The pulley is good.

It's anodized no question about that part. The way that the groove tappers towards the "crankside" of the pulley, I'm pretty sure this had to have happend during installation. With the way it spins, I don't think a pulley could make such a chip just from a rotation. If damaged from wear/tear of use, I would think the chip would appear a lot more even, and throughout the entire Key insertion.

not to mention with the direction the engine spins, the chip would be on the other side. engine turns counter clockwise, this mark is would be if it turned clockwise.
