Waste gate dump tube sound

Waste gate dump tube sound
So I have a dump tube about 4 inch long coming off my waste gate when I hit full boost obviously it dumps the excess though the tube. Problem is I hate the sound of it. It is retarded loud so you cant hear the turbo or even my exhaust just dumping air...
JW if anyone had done something to fix this or any ideas that would help?
I'm thinking about extending the tube and cutting and welding it into my downpipe. What do you guys think?

lol...iv made a little muffler once to weld on to a dump tube. just to see if i could do it. I ended up never welding it on my dumptube and gave it away. I cought hell from members here for making it. Someone suggested the idea to me and i thought what tha hell, so i gave it a shot.
the best way to do it is run your dump tube into your exhaust (recirq) though.
here is some pics of my goofy project

You can do like Chris did and make a make-shift muffler or use something like this:
Damn, Vibrant must have discontinued it. It was a wastegate muffler.

Crush that's a pretty sweet idea!
As for Korupted, recirculating the dump tube into the down pipe is not an uncommon thing and does reduce the noise as the flow from the waste gate is re-routed back into the main stream of the exhaust. One thing you would have to watch out for is where you recirculate it relative to the O2 sensors and how it will affect and require a re-tune to compensate for the change in O2 levels.

a side note..iv made a few dump tubes for the TT simple kit and i noticed length and bends affect the overall sound. maybe its just me but it seemed the smoother the bends the louder the dump.

open dump rocks! nothing discourages other cars next to u like the sound of your dump flowing into the atmosphere! bwajaja
but it sure does make a mess! when i took my turbo off my engine looked like a chimney mop. SOOT EVER WHERE!!!

I know for a fact Vibrant had some wastegate mufflers. At the old shop I worked at, we sold a TON of vibrant stuff. Never moved one of those off the shelf though.
