So today i'm driving then all of a sudden BAM! CEL pops on

its code p0102 which means Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Low Input. Im guessing that its more related to a Vac Leak rather than my MAF.

Anyone else have this code?

I'm going to install my TurboToyotas Vacuum block with all new hoses to make sure its not a VAC leak

EDIT**

I just installed my TT vac block and my CEL went away

NEW PROBLEM

So I thought my troubles were behind me but I guess not.

My car runs fine until I hit boost, and once I hit boost i Get code p0102 (MAF circuit low input) and the Throttle no longer works. My scanguage is hooked up and the Throttle position sensor reads perfectly fine. With the CEL on, I will go WOT and the TPS % increases but my car doesn't go anywhere, not until I downshift then the car will sputter along. Once I clear the code the car runs perfect, that is until I go into boost then it happens all over again.

I had an appointment this moring with my tuner, but wasnt able to make it because my car was running like poop. I also hear a click everytime i push the throttle

My question is, is my problem my MAF? I dont think its my throttle position sensor, since we have electronic throttles so i assume that the MAF code will affect my Throttle response.

I already cleaned the MAF with cleaner and reset the battery and it still does the same stuff. I just dont feel like spending $150 on a new MAF and it do nothing for me

Anyone have any clue?

A defective maf will only give problems in boost and not under normal driving conditions??

Most likely a defective maf but check for leaks especially after the maf, your car could be sucking air somewhere unmetered by the maf.. It may not be obvious when not in boost since the maf can still get some air but when the turbo builds boost, some of the air might be sucked somewhere not measured by the maf so the amount of air/boost going to the throttle doesnt coincide and is too high compared to the air that the maf has metered so you get a code, may not be the case but just a guess.

Haha nice, I needed a laugh. I wish my car had a face so I could punch it!

I hope I fix the problem fast, I have a show this saturday and it's 1 1/2 hours away, dont want to get stuck all the way out there

So tonight im going to go over every Vac line and coupler AGAIN, and clean my throttle body and check for anything loose that might be causing the tapping.

yeah wouldnt be good to get stuck out there.. check everything again and run it on just the ecu alone to see if its your management thats messing up aswell!

the tapping is a sign of something loose pay attention to where the tap is, it may not be your throttle

Its kinda hard to tell EXACTLY where its coming from because of the rengine running and the Intake sucking in air. but me and 3 of my friends agreed that it was the throttle body or at least near it.

It only happens when I press the gas so it has to be something with the throttle body

I today I re-redid my Vac Lines (found my BOV line was pinched) , and Couplers (all was fine)

I also cleaned my throttle body (it was covered in Carbon Buildup)

I took the car out for a run and it ran like a Champ! No Cel, or clicks, or and boost surging.

I want to thank everyone for the help, I love my car when it runs this good, lol
