I somehow doubt you're at 270 at the wheels, but if you can put down the numbers on the track, i'll believe it

410cc s/c injectors were maxed out at 290 whp for Karl's (IceNine) car. 440's should be good up to 300whp.. but you don't want them to be maxed out all the time.

My tuner said 440's are good up to 350. And I dynoed my car and proved it on YSTC so why would u doubt me? Lol

I don't doubt you - i doubt the dyno. That seems REALLY high for an auto - seeing as I hit 221 WHP with a bad o2 sensor and Ronnie (Gizmo tC) hit 240 (more aggressive tune). She only hit 260 with Meth Injection.

But then again, who tunes ur car is different then who tunes mine. My shop is known for their turbos and my tuner is a mechanical engineer. Its possible they know a little secret that ur tuner don't know, that's why my ECU is locked with a password, so nobody else can steal the fuel map I have and take credit for it.

what kind of kit are you running? and what type of engine management? maybe you could help your tuner and others out by releasing his name so others can go to him for tuning. i'm sure alot of ppl would rather push out 270whp rather then 240whp at the same psi level.

I have a slightly modified GReddy kit. Emanage blue. His name is Ryan and he owns a shop called RCT Performance, in Queens N.Y. I've told numerous people about him already but nobody seems to be interested. U can check out his official website @ www.RCTPerformance.com

That's another thing - How did the tuner push the timing with emanage blue? You can't do that.

I don't know what u mean by pushing the timing, but if its something that u can see on the dyno sheet, then I guess u can do it. All I know is he hooked up his laptop to my ECU, put it on the dyno, and 2 hours later I had 272WHP @ 7psi and 5500RPM. I'm still new to the turbo world myself, but I have learned a lot from him so far.

Pushing the timing means you force the spark plugs to ignite later than they normally would. I'm not entirely sure on why you need to do this, but I do know that it will enrichen the fuel mixture without actually adding more fuel. (The fuel has less time to burn, so less of it gets burned.)

At least, that's what my engine tuning books have told me. :D

Edit: Think I just confused pushing with pulling timing. One is advancing the spark (earlier ignition), one is retarding (later ignition). If I messed it up, just reverse everything I said.

Well I don't have stock plugs so maybe that's why. I have Denso Iridium 1 step colder plugs gapped @ 0.38 - 0.40.

Edit: typo, I meant 0.40, not 0.48

Manual has nothing to do with it. U want a mid 13 sec car then up the boost and get it tuned. Base map will get u those 14 second numbers. I'm a turbo auto and I bet I can hit low to mid 13"s easily. Those 14 second runs are with a base map which will give u around 220 -230 whp, that does not mean that's all ur gonna get out of that turbo. There's somebody on another forum who has a 255whp auto and he's running I think a 13.4

Manual handles more power without complication than the Auto will. That's why it has something to do with it, when trying to run mid 13's or better.

I think you need to take it to the track though, and skip the paint ball. As you said, you do the paint ball all the time. You can miss it one time...

I know that but he sounds dissappointed because he thinks he can't get a 13 sec auto that's all.

I'm still trying to get my fouled o2 sensor switched out (need to pick up the new sensor and don't have time) - it's robbing me of HP. I could get better numbers easy in terms of HP and 1/4 mile times - knowing how to launch better plus a better performing car means i'll run better times.

I might be leaving work early tomorrow - c'mon down to the track :D

It's not the O2 sensor that's the problem - it's the A/F sensor in the downpipe.

My launch? i've been launching from 2000 rpm... bumping it higher though.
