Overall, it's not for beginners but when done properly and with research, you can save money if you have time. The F/I world is great because of the exponential ability to add power at will without spending loads more money like bolt-on guys are stuck with.

^ TRDsparks was getting rid of them for dirt cheap after they found out the SC wasnt going to be sold anymore, so they wanted to get rid of what was left in there inventory, 05-06's were cheaper then the 07's & up but still pretty damn cheap.

The cheapest TRD Sparks ever sold the 05-06 supercharger for at any point in time was $1800 (thats what i bought mine for before taxes and shipping). Definetly no where near $1150. My man b52dunn must have got his of the black market.

I bought mine February of 09. At that point there was only 3-4 left. I believe they sold the last one in the beginning of march for the same price as mine. I was all over that site during that time and i definetly woulda noticed if they sold them for less than $1800. Not to mention i woulda been .

Sad thing is, someone dumber than him will probably buy it for that price. Wow.

Bought it off of a army guy on ebay. He was deploying soon and wanted to get rid of it. Talked to him about the military cause I'm in the AF. I submitted a offer and he took it. Was brand new in the box with a dealership receipt. Got VERY lucky.
I love my S/C!
27MPG CITY, and a good amount of HP. cant beat it!

Done the turbo thing. NEVER again. Too many problems.
Doubt beating the gas mileage, especially when boosting.

yea maybe not so much with boosting but idle should save more gas. Plus a turbo is more efficient in a sense that it utilizes unused gas fumes.
