What Have You SPent On Forced Induction?
#41
Bought it off of a army guy on ebay. He was deploying soon and wanted to get rid of it. Talked to him about the military cause I'm in the AF. I submitted a offer and he took it. Was brand new in the box with a dealership receipt. Got VERY lucky.
I love my S/C!
27MPG CITY, and a good amount of HP. cant beat it!

My driveability is perfect and I guarantee I make more power and get the same gas mileage. BUT it does cost more. Much less however if you know how to tune yourself and take your time piecing together a kit.

So far I am up to about $800. The parts I have so far....
Turbo
Manifold
Downpipe
S-Pipe
Intercooler Piping
BOV
Pre-Tapped Oil Pan
I still need an intercooler, Piggy Back, Injectors, Gauges, Misc oil and vacuum lines, then exhaust and tune.
So not to much right lol

I'm sittin right around $3500 and that's so far WITHOUT injectors, wideban/boost gauges, boost controller, eghaust, tune and without shipping and handling charges. I wanted to build a kit that no one had so i peiced together my own looking to reach well over 300hp, but im still in the process of getting the rest an i am so anxious to get it up and going.

I was just curious to see what most people have spent on their foced induction projects. Me and my buddy both went different ways he went with a supercharger for his K20 Civic SI and I went with a Greddy Kit for my tC. I'm not asking about your like with your exhaust and interior mods. Just the parts your needed to get your car going, the turbo or supercharger, Gauges, Oil Cooler, Turbo Timers, BOVS, Injectors, Plugs ....any extras like that count. Thanks guys.

if you want to do a comparison compare a built engine fully boosted on a scion compared to what it'd cost for other cars that cost more and in comparison with the end result and you'll see its a hell of alot cheaper to do it this way. why do you think people take old civics and fully re-build the motors and boost them for race and auto-x? its alot cheaper for the same results in the long run
my brothers gsr we just finished less than 7k spent and i guarantee it handles better and as far as power goes ur not even close lol and his build includes sleeves, and dont say well its a honda so of course, when u build a motor most of the parts cost the same (some were actually more than what u would pay on a tc) and all the turbo parts of course cost the same
