Get wider rubber, stiffer suspension, poly mounts and a REAL full locking LSD. Quaife is fine for low power, but OS is where BIG power shines
Does that full locking LSD really make that big of a difference over the Quaife. Is it really worth the bux?

A road racing tire isnt an ideal choice, my nt01s are worse than all seasons in a strait line due to stiff sidewall. The compound is just one aspect of a tire. Buy a tire for what it is intended for . Maybe dr's for street and drag slicks for the track.

Gary, after having driven numerous Quaife cars then 2 OS cars, it does.

I think if I were more into drag racing, then I would go with the OS G. For road racing, Qualife. The closer to full lock the LSD is, the more understeer you will have compared to an LSD that doesn't have full lock all the time.

*Edit..the OS G is a 1.1way, so it shouldn't be bad on the Road course either. I was thinking it was a 1.5-2 way LSD.

OS is used by multi-champion national racer Dan Gardner whom single handedly developed this unit.

I know that. See "edit" part. I wasn't saying the OS G wouldn't be good for the road course, I was just trying to see which would be better.

Since its a 1.1way then it behaves like the Qualife under throttle - lift. That was my concern at first. It acts like an open diff when you lift the throttle, which is what you want on a FWD to allow the turn in. On acceleration it locks better. Has the ease of the Qualife, but not the weakness. Sounds like a great diff. Maybe if/when PTuning can get the dog box trans into development then I will try out an OS G in that trans.

T - $970

Sig status: Manifold and dumptubes are presently being fabbed.

Job market has sucked for me lately, but finally picking back up. Starting a new position in April so I should have everything wrapped up end of April.

Wouldn't have it any other way. If I would have gone SS, I would have been back on boost last month. Decided to hold out and not get antsy.

Weighs 2550lbs so 300whp on PTuning's dyno will suffice but I'm expected to make a little over 3 since I'll run 11lbs to start with. Once Return system in place, I'll retune for 14lbs perhaps.

300 at 2550lbs is going to haul the mail around the race track. I'll make some shake down passes to get a feel for the car, and then when I'm comfortable, put my foot in it.

Will be difficult though since I sold my seats and currently running some weir cushy crap the factory provides you...lol.

Wifey drove the car to work the other day, sent me a text and was like....these seats feel WEIRD! So use to bucket/fixed back Corbeau's with 4pt harness that stock seats are uncomfortable.

PS...sorry for thread jack a little Rasta. I don't plan on making a thread until the car hits the road on boost. I will make a completed beginning to end post as the first post on the process and future plans as well.

Travis was there a thread where you listed all the weight reduction you did to get down to 2550lbs?
