Ok for awhile I have had some hard starting problems. The car would act like it was flooded eventually backfire then eventually start after letting it sit. It did the intermittently at random times. Hasnt done it in awhile, and recently just started again. Also started missing alot.

Got new plugs today, and when I left the car wouldn't start, I threw a miss Code and a P0340 (Cam Shaft Position). Tried clearing the codes and the P0340 comes right back on.

If the Sensor is bad this explains the loss in power, misses and the starting problem.

Now my question is where is the Cam Shaft Sensor on our cars?

2006 Scion tC, manual boosted F/IC (Boomslang harness w/ resistors)

Top right corner of the head on the side of the head. To the right of the last coil. It's on the end of the intake cam. Outside the head. If that description helps. Lol
