There is a Gray vac line that runs out of the throttle body. Thats the line you want to tap into. The red circle is where my boost gauge is tapped at.

That's the best way to go if you really can't take your TB off. We have two test cars now where we removed the throttle body and tapped it directly. The car runs MUCH smoother and wont stall anymore, no matter how hard you try too. Even the TiAL bov worked great with the TB tap.

Wait, tapping in for a Boost Gauge will make your car idle funny? Or are you reffering to the turbo guys?

Ive never stalled once with my car. It has ran perfect since the day everthing was installed. Both My brothers and my tC's have this same setup up and its just fine.

Any idea if the tap was done BEFORE or AFTER the throttle plate?

I guess the bigger hole tap would allow a better flow of boosted air / vacuum through vs the stock tiny pinhole which in turn produces better response for the EBC/MBC/WG/BOV.... Therefore less chances of stalling/idling issues when daily driven.

BSPturbotc, can you confirm on the positioning of your tap?

If you look at the first pic in the thread the throttle plate is at the same level in the TB as the bolts are. In the pics of the tap, the tap it self sits lower than the bolts so I would have to say after the throttle plate.

It would have to be after the TB otherwise you wouldn't ever reference vacuum at all, if any. The only vac you'd see is from the venturi effect. After the TB will show both boost and vacuum.

Joe is right. After the TB otherwise you will get VERY spuratic vac readings.

Use a 1/4" tee. It will fit nice and tight on the stock vaccum line. Then use a 1/4 to 1/8 adaptor. The adaptor will then accept the thin 1/8 plastic line that is routed to the vac/boost gauge. That would yield the same setup as Kaeon.
