Obv there gonna be a dick about it....I would be too if I had to pay 6 times as much for my kit because they have no mechanical skill and need a bolt-on kit for people who want the power but dont know wtf they are doing.

I mean its not like I have one of those ebay "electric superchargers" or the "performance chips" that are a IAT sensor - No need to be so hostile.

Wait, your "real" turbo's only last 2 years? And you've already blown a seal on one?

But hey, what do I know.

Funny how you mention money. I paid less than you did, and my list of parts includes nothing but high quality components and you're riddled with Ebay parts.

Funny how that works out.

Tell him how long you waited for your high quality components.

Because that's really funny.

EDIT: I'm not trying to be a dick. There's a 56 page thread on it for chrissakes, how can you not make jokes.

you say that like nobody has ever been scammed, or kept waiting when buying something off of ebay.

long and short of it. if you have some knowledge about cars and building turbo systems. then you can find some good deals on ebay to piece together your own kit fairly cheap.

but if you are the noobiest noob since noob came to noob town, with cars. then just go with a name brand kit. and not some off brand ebay jdm universal turbokit.

^ You never came off to me as one before, so I was really confused.

brett, I actually got scammed by killertc.com before. They still owe me a brake kit. My joke was just about poking fun at his dilemma, nothing more.

I don't think anyone's saying off-brand eBay stuff is all junk, but would you buy a $150 turbo housing?

lol.....everyone keeps bashing on an ebay turbo kit but the funny thing is I used to rock an ebay turbo kit in my 96 civic with a b18c1 swap in it. All i did was used everything except the turbo, bov, and wastegate. I replaced the turbo with a Precision SC34 Turbo, Greddy Type-S BOV, and a Tial 38mm Wastegate. The crazy part about everything is I literally beat the crap out of my car everyday without it having any problems up until my civic got stolen -_- So with that said don't sleep on ebay turbo kits cause sometimes their decent than you think. They might not be the greatest but some of the parts are decent to work with.

yup you can find good stuff on ebay piecing components together.. critical parts you dont want to cheap out though is turbo, manifold, injectors, bov, wastegate and ems and all the rest are basically some pipes and plumbing

you'd be surprised about the turbo manifold cause on my civic it was pretty close to what the greddy turbo kit on a tc looks like.

Looks like != Made like, though. The machining, all the internals you don't see, the metal quality itself... these are the things that differentiate an eBay part made in a sweat shop vs. a brand name part made in a factory.

Piping Kits
Intercoolers
BOV
Manifold(If Cast Iron)
Oil lines
Are all PREFECTLY ok to buy on ebay and WILL NOT DAMAGE ENIGNE IN ANY WAY!!!!

Buying an "ebay turbo" like I did is prob the mst "contraversial" piece of the kit. Although I have not have any problems with it....Some may have....I recently "upgraded" to JDM Sport turbo and cast iron manifold.....advancedjdmparts.com-----AGAIN the turbo should be fine but the quality on the manifold is amazing and fits perfect.....Also has a lifetime warranty through advancejdmparts
