I wasn't talking about you directly. Saying some guys think they spool really fast. If memory serves me correctly, on the 16G I was at full boost by 2500rpms.

Yeah I'm done with them too. Their labor prices are ridiculous.

I think I'm going to be doing some self-tuning today..

The Unichip is sitting in the back-seat as a backup system.

I'm running the F/IC right now and trying to do some tuning myself. It's hard without someone else driving though.

I'm doing it carefully... lol.

My laptop is on the passenger seat with the F/IC software running.. and I have a hand-held OBD-II scanner from Autozone that I'm watching as I drive.

travis. i knew you didnt mean me specifically. but most bigger turbos spool in the neighborhood of mine. 3k -4k. and it feels like an eternity. i just wish i had a turbo that didnt make full boost in first gear.

wow im rambling in my posts now. i should go to sleep o.o

anyways the point to my post is 16g's dont make the same power/psi as "larger" turbo

Maybe larger than a 57trim, but anything below that, it's going to be in the same ball park. Also keep in mine than when it comes to performance, the power margin gained over the 16G is then canceled out because it takes longer to spool it.

travis did you sand them down and then re-spray them and bake them, or just coated over the gold and baked them?
