Default Will the Holset h1c turbo work for me?

So I found a really good price on a Holset h1c with 18cm housing but he will include an hx35 12cm housing with it for free. I'm looking just to go small right now, like a 6psi stage zero kit. Will this Turbo work for me?? And also will I have any problems finding manifolds that match up to it. I tries to search but could only find one other person that ran the h1c and that was o. Kinda big, A HX35 HX40 hybrid would work the best. h1c is a straight T4, your not gonna be able to spool that until waaay late in the powerband plus you have to find a T4 manifold which the only I have seen is the fullrace mani.

What about a Garrett/AiResearch ta0301? It's a T3 .57 trim, .42 comp .48 turb, internally wastegated at 8psi and rebuilt for $125 shipped. I'm not gonna go run at the track, and I'm not looking to be the fastest around.....I just want a little more power, and I want it out of my tC because, well, it's paid off lol. I know it will spool pretty quick, but will drag out at top end, but I couldn't really find any information on this particular turbo so I couldn't compare it to the 16g.

Also, what would I need if I wanted to boost enough to beat my buddy's new V8 Camaro just to watch him cry for losing to a tuner car??

well, do you have a turbo kit or components now? also your talking about wanting to beat your buddy, what is done to his camaro? its hard for us to give you answers when your not giving us too much information. what would you like your HP goals to be? your best bet is to gather more information on turbocharging scions before buying anything. There is also some good turbo kits for sale right now in the classifieds sections.

Thats hard to say - if its an auto ss, prob somewhere around 300whp. If its a 6spd ss youll need closer to 350whp.
