That's because the average Scionlifer wouldn't know what a transponder is or what the numbers on a drag slip mean lol.

I'm a little partial towards no front wing, but of course Function > form.

I think everyone doesn't understand our objective here. WORLD Racing is not trying to start a new trend nor are we trying to get you to like our wing. if the whole world said it was stupid we still wouldn't mind because as long as it makes the car one milli second faster that is all that matters. We aren't trying to start anything we are just trying to go fast cause that is what our job entails

I highly doubt anyone wouldn't know what a 'drag slip' was...maybe if you said time slip I'd agree more, but I don't expect anymore than 1% to know what a transponder was for

function honestly should always come before form. that said, functionality should be beautiful ^^

^ That makes no sense...

If anything, function comes first, and over time, the average person accepts its aesthetic. Not too long ago, having a car with different color hoods and hatches was tacky. Now carbon fiber on random panels is cool...

actually it should make perfect sense. the most beautiful designs to my mind are those which function extremely well at their task. when looked at from this perspecitve, it all falls into place.

so yes... to me that front wing is beautiful. could it be inplemented better/made more beautiful? sure. but it is beautiful just as it is ^^.

most people think it looks awful.
i think its beautiful.

Why would it? It's their to push the front of the vehicle down. It's symmetrical, so it wouldn't cause more air to flow past one side of the vehicle more than the other. It'll slow the vehicle down on the straights, but from their lap times, it obviously doesn't slow it down on the straights anywhere near as much as it helps the car in the corners/powering on.

We don't worry about drag on our car in the aero department. We make too much power to worry about it. If it becomes a problem we crank up the boost even more You have to look at pros and cons of the wing and the pros definitely out weighed the cons in this situation.

Speaking of "make too much power to worry".....hehe. How much power are you guys running out of the beast this season? The Speed Hunters article mentioned 800ftlbs was to be expected. Did you guys meet/exceed that?

That car's best lap is over 8 seconds faster than the FWD Unlimited 2nd place car!

It's also faster than 3rd place AWD Unlimited as well as 3rd place RWD Unlimited! A full 4 seconds separates the WR tC from overall Unlimited winner and 2 seconds separate it from 1st place in U-AWD and U-RWD first place winners. That is RIDICULOUSLY fast for FWD!

Soon they may be knocking on the U-AWD guys' doors since they're the "low hanging fruit." That NSX in U-RWD is a monster.
