WOT shift, next gear doesnt go.
Ok, so i noticed at WOT, in any gear.. ill shift fast and then punch the gas when the next gear is in and the gas doesnt do anything... the car doesnt go, ill have to either let off for a little and then punch it or put it in neutral and back into the gear.. when ur WOT (racing) when u shift do u leave ur foot kinda on the clutch when ur gasing the next gear or can u drop it? some ppl said u cant drop the clutch in these cars and im like what, how does that make sense. i did try and leave my foot somewhat on the clutch when shifting fast and gasing the next gear it worked the one time i did it but the problem with the next gear not going doesnt happen all the time either. One person said sounds like my clutch is slipping, which sucks cuz its a brand new stage 4, theres no way my synchros are bad cuz i havent missed any gears or jammed it hard enough to mess them up.

You can't drop the clutch from a dig they are talking about.
Your "no go problem" when going into the next gear, sounds like a tuning issue or yes possible clutch slippage. Does the rpms suddenly raise and drop back down?

ah u left out half that message when u txted me last night fool lol
ok..
the synchro problem could still be a factor because as you disengage and go into the next gear your synchros have to line up and are what allow you to get into the next gear smoothly.. try checking the oil level of the tranny and make sure its up to par..
you could also have clutch slippage chad.. if your dropping the clutch when racing your basically beating your clutch to death and can glaze it over or mess it up.. your shifting might be to fast .. try slowing it down a notch and allowing the flywheel and clutch to sync up better.. the jerking motion of them engaging can seem as if the car stalls because its both moving objects are playing catch up with each other in order to work together to move at the same speeds and cause the clutch and wheel to grab and lock.
u might have more power then what the clutch is rated for also.. if you in the 350+ range then you might have a slipping clutch.. the cc stg 4 isnt rated for that amount of TQ remember that...
if your thinking "dropping the clutch" as in a full hard quick release then no u shouldnt.. in fact in almost any car dropping the clutch alot or hard on a FI setup is especially on that stg4 isnt a good move.. you should try a less aggressive drop and let the clutch do its job easily..
and the WOT box im not sure chad is the solution for you... is there any way for you to tape what your doing.. i'd like to see what your RPMS are doing while this is going on..
also any funky noise or feeling coming from the engine bay?.. let me see if this weekend i can go up north and check out your car.

ya when im gassing it, it makes a clunking noise kinda, dude im not shifting that fast though im still new at manual, but ya i push the clutch all the way shift into the next gear and then fully let my foot off.. should i keep it on a little and let off slowly when going into next gear at WOT?

no do not ride the clutch.. that can lead to a bigger disaster... just try once lifting your foot a smidge slower.. that will give ur clutch some more play room and be easier on it to engage rather then a full smash on the plate. how much HP are you making now?

and usually on a tc.. the TQ curve follows the HP curve.. lol so i would say maybe your in the 400 range of TQ and is slipping.. look at mikes car... he was in the 350 ish range + or - and his cc4 failed...

So for the OP - what is the answer to this question:

yuh.. for example when your in gear and you gas it does the rpms go up and your not going anywhere. that means your clutch is slipping. like for example lets say you on the highway and your in 4th gear or 5th and you floor it does the rpms go up and your car not going anywhere?

A good way to test the clutch is to hit boost in 5th gear. Just cruise on the highway and gun it (i take no responsibility if you get pulled over lol). If the clutch is slipping, the engine will rev faster and you won't accelerate that fast. It's almost as if the tires break loose...it's just not as cool.
