Is your computer smarter than the WOT box?
Ok, so I have the N2MB wot box with two step installed on my turbo tc. My question is does anyone get a check engine light with this installed? I have everything installed right and the program is right, but when I use it I get a cel. My codes are a coil pack malfunction while two steppin and a miss fire flashing cel when wot shifting. Everything works as it should with the box, except for the cel. I spoke with N2MB and they told me I shouldn't be getting any cel. Sorry if I don't beleive them concidering they sent me the box programmed for the SRT-4. So only people with this box please chime in.

Ya, I figured as much. Considering how the unit operates I can't believe the manufacturer would tell me it wouldn't throw a cel. I think N2MB is full of sh*t. They kept on telling me I installed it wrong even thoe it works perfectly except for the cels.

I get misfire cels when no-lift shifting past 6000-6100 rpms. Anything under that and I generally don't see anything other than maybe cel light flashing and going away. I have not used the 2-step in a long time, but I can't recall seeing anything. In reallity ur car is actually misfiring to be able to do those things. That's why one of the connections is to the coil pack. If u get some free time, pull the spark plugs. I'll notice that cyl.4 is gonna have a leaner look than the rest. That's of coarse if u hooked up the wot to that coil pack.

Ya , I just don't see why N2MB just don't admit there product will throw a cel. Mine is hit or miss. If I don't 2-step for longer than a second I won't get a cel. Also the flashing cell while WOT shifting just started. Guess the comp. won't trip anything until it see's the problem a few times. Wonder if I shorten the WOT shift timing? Might cause the miss to be fast enough the cel won't flash.

When the CEL flashes its the ecu telling you that you have a misfire bad enough to seriously damage your Cat. A misfire is considered a Type A code, which means that as soon as it sees a problem the light will come on. There is a monitor that well monitors the cat that is run continuously and once it detects a problem that can damage the cat it will light up the CEL
