Zero Point turbo kit installed, tuned, and dynoed.... (PICS)
We just completed a Zero Point stage 1 turbo kit install on "prettystandard's" Tc.
The kit wasn't the best fitting or most well crafted kit I have seen, but i have seen worse.
To make a rather long story short....after some (IMO, much needed) improvements were made to the kit, it went on fine (kinda) and the car was ready to tune, and then fine tune on the dyno.
The results were a respectable 258.0 FWHP. with only 7PSI (in 90 degree weather)
Here is the dyno sheet.....

Nice #'s! Congrats on boost!

So after we had a couple blown off tubes, we uninstalled the tubeing and bead rolled it the way it should have been done in the first place, and re-routed the dump tube back into the exhaust.
Eventually the kit worked out fine. The fit and finish wasn't what I hoped it would be, but all's well that ends well.

And yeah....the kit should have had the bead rolled tubes to start with.

WA2GOOD, I am sure I share this same sentiment with a lot of scion owners, but I really appreciate the work of installing, dynoing, and providing your professional opinions on different turbo kits available for scions. Great work and keep it coming!

ZPI used to offer a non-dump down pipe but I thought you had to ask for it specifically?? (Here is an example... The pic is pretty far down the post https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=103104) The reason ZPI says they do not do it because they said they dyno'd like 20 more HP with an open dump. It sucks that they no longer bead roll their IC piping. On my stage 0 pipe it is bead rolled (and it even looked nice) but I do not know why they stopped. Though I have the same IC piping I have not had any issues with piping coming off at all but I took my time with installation and all couplers were installed very carefully.

bead rolled is not neccisary. I work on diesels running 25 psi through 3.25 inch pipe that is not bead rolled with silicon couplers and t bolt clamps and ive never ever seen a pipe blow off that was installed correctly.

Those are some damn good #'s for 7lbs of boost. I don't think my pipes are Bead rolled either, but then again, ZPI themselves hand made our kit to my specs.
But glad to see you guys got everything worked out. Nice job.
