ZPI Custom Gauge Pod - Installed Pics
ZPI....YOU GUYS DELIVERED BIG.
I installed the gauge pod this evening and it fits like a GLOVE - Since this is my AFR and EGT gauges - I had alot of wires to run. I have the PLX m-300 for digital AFR wideband tuning and the narrow band output for the gauge. The sun roof controller is fine and it fit in perfect. The view is good out the rear view...This is friggin SWEET
Well, here is the painted piece.

I remember seeing that before in another post ScionDad. Are you trying to pull a fast one...lol I was thinking of the same thing a while back, but I want it in front of the light. That space between the dome light and the sunroof is screaming for a gauge or two, and that is where I would like to put ours.

They make their own 3 gauge pod for the pillar and the color match is quite good.

Will the autometer narrow air/fuel work directly off the factory wide O2? I think narrow gauges are about $60 versus wide $230. What is the difference between the 2?
Also which 3 gauges are most vital with turbo? I think boost is a must. Other 2?

That way, I can keep a good reference with the narrow band AFR gauge, but for detailed tuning, the digital PLX is used for precision. But it will sit in the glove box with emanage.
The 3 most vital IMO with turbo
Boost Gauge is without a doubt necessary.
AFR wideband gauge is next IMO
EGT gauge is a close second and even better in some instance than AFR
Others which are good is oil temp and oil pressure with a turbo. Waiting for the dummy oil light to appear is way too late to save anything.

I feel like the best way to go may be:
Boost
Pyrometer
Oil Pressure
Does that seem sound? If not why?

My brother actually tried to mold it at his body shop, but it did not do well at all. He has a mold for the outside shape, but the inside has problems. He cleaned this one up for me to install and I took him the stock one this morning on my way to work to try and match the inside mold properly.
