I think they would have run better if they didn't try to do so much in 4 hours. If they would have stuck with just the turbo, I think they would have been alright. But like you guys said earlier, the base stage 0 might not have run well with their prviouse mods without the other items they added. You know that air freshener had to add like 10-15 hp!

Wait till tuesday cause it is reairing then.
the car took a dump. They dont' know what happened, but it was leaking coolant and woudl not let them rev past 4500rpm I think is what they said.

A few things went wrong, but they didn't really explain them on the show.
1. The serpentine belt blew off.
2. There was smoke coming from the turbo area of the engine bay.
3. There was some fuel/management problem that caused the car not to rev passed 4800 RPM.
The above are facts, anything else are just guesses.
Guess #1 Blown Turbo Seal
Guess #2 Leaking Injector
Guess #3 Inertnal Engine Damage/Head Gasket

none of those were the reason. i talked to kenny today and this is what he said
so there ya go

I'm not trying to start anything, please believe me.
1. knock pulling timing would not cause the serpentine belt to break.
2. knock pulling timing would not cause smoke from the turbo area.
3. knock pulling timing SOULD NOT cause the car to stop reving passed 4800 RPM. This is the only one that is even plausible IMHO.
Also the coolant leak would not be from a map having the timing pulled, a blown head gasket or freezeout plug would do this.

when i was getting my car tuned. part of the problem was the knock sensor would pull crazy amounts of timing because the new pistons made alot more engine noise. the car still reved all the way up to the rev limiter.

talked to kenny about it more,
he said it would when you are trying to add timing with the emanage.
regarding the smoke he said it was from the belt which was a completely different situation

Oh, sorry, my sarcasim wasn't made more obvious.
Because he THINKS he is the Expert on everything. And now Magically knows more about the Scion tC than anyone including Kenny. The way he post, you would think he was AT the track during the episode, and was actually working on the tC for ZPI...

Coming from the same guy who said Methanol injection lowers your octane... Need I say more?
