Default ZPI Stage 0 tC's

You know, with all the negative stories about ZPI's stage 0 kit floating around, I thought I'd breathe some fresh air into the subject. So, I started this little topic for anyone that currently has a stage 0 installed to tell us about the positive things about the kit. You know, so everyone can hear about the kit from the other perspective. Anyone with the kit, tell us about any tips you have on how to make the install go smoother, talk about any little problems you encountered so the rest of us can be prepared. Any most importantly tell those of us who are waiting on our kits(or who are debating ordering a stage 0), about your experience with the kit. And just to clarify for those that become suspicious, I in no way represent ZPI nor did I create this topic on their behalf. I just got tired of hearing all the negative, and I want to hear some of the positive. Hopefully all you stage 0 tC's out there that are having a good time with your kit installed will check in and tell us a little about your experience. And hopefully the negatives(we know who you are ) don't hijack this thread.

Must be just my daughter. The only stage 0 in the world.

Hey wait, that makes her the worlds fastest automatic street tC

Actually I know of one other ZPI turbo automatic tC in Ohio. Sweet setup....several custom mods to the kit by ZPI. Last I heard, he too was working with Turboeast. I'm hopin he does the valve body upgrade since we did the ESK.

There are several that have pm'ed me over the last few months about their installs. Not sure why no one ever posts pics.

How much power are the auto's making with the stage 0 kits? I dont think i've heard the numbers yet and Im curious to the drivetrain loss difference between the manuals and the auto's on the tC.

Have you dyno'd your car yet Sciondad? What about that auto white tC that ZPI did here local. I know they took that one to the dyno, what did it make?

The stage 0 auto we dynoed here made like 485whp in one gear and like 123whp in the next gear. We could not get a good reading and the lady who usually operates the dyno was out sick.

We have no real idea of what a Auto tC makes to the wheels

How hard is it to install a lockup switch? I know it is pretty straightforward on AEM but I am not sure if it is easy without one.

I myself am waiting on my kit. But, that's really weird that no stage 0 tC's besides the 2 mentioned and the other couple of ones with install issues ever post here.

It is not hard.

That is from a torque converter spike caused by transmission downshift. You have to find which gear of the tranny makes a 1:1 ratio and try to dyno it without down shifting. Sometimes it D2, D3, or D4. If you have control over TQ converter lock up, do so.

yea I would say the best would be in D3...when we dynoed my xB we did it in 3rd cause it was the most consistent. ZPI, you guys got any issue w/ spiking in between gear changes w/ the auto???I would spike out to about 10 psi in between upshifts...got kind of annoying but I think it was keepin me from stalling out with the atmospheric BOV in between shifts.

If I'm not mistaken, the tranny does lock in overdrive. I read that somewhere in my shift kit hunt.

As stated previously. It is not supposed to shift during the dyno session.
