I agree with Limey above... Lifting the engine is definitely a Biggie...! I'd like to see the pics and know how hard is to install those babies...

We do not have pics of the final product...We will not have pics of these until we get the shipment in with the ones that we are selling.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE THE ENGINE TO INSTALL THESE

These will install very easy. You can remove one mount at a time and switch the mounts and move on to the next one. These should install in under 1 hour.

Thanks

i did these in my focus. i didnt have to remove the engine, just place a floor jack under it so once the mount is off the engine stays in the same position making it easier when you reinstall

would you want to install the damper? .....then engine was designed to move.... thats why it does..... the new mounts sound like a good idea but wouldnt installing the damper also be a bad thing?

I didnt mean take the engine out I just meant we had to place a jack and lift the engine a litle higher very little not too hard. Plus if what zpi says its true ( idont see why it wouldnt be) you just have to put something under the engine so it wouldnt move when the mounts are taken out then the new ones in sounds about the same as what we had to do, really guys if you can change your oil install an intake you should be able to do this not much harder.

At least 3, one on each side, and one in the front.

The front one may be bolted to the tranny, but since the tranny is bolted to the engine, it really doesnt matter. The rubber "insulators" are on the sides, one left, one right, and the third is in the front, if you are standing in front of the car, looking at the engine, the front one is to the right of the header/exhaust manifold. Kinda hidden from view from underneith by the crossmember its sitting ontop of.

how many mounts do the tC have? 3??? the back mount of the engine causes the most vibration to the cabin. i dont think adding just the front ones will cause vibration, though you gotta get your moneys worth.

i doubt adding mounts and torque damper together would hurt your car. but im pretty sure you can feel the pull when you shift...

these mounts are really good especially for FI tC's, it would make a huge difference probably if you add the torque damper too... but mounts NA tC's would perform the same as damper, and together just improves slightly.

IMO, id rather get mounts than damper....

ZPI gots it for 99 bucks for pre-order? thats a deal..

Hrmm.. double checking the pdf file I have, looks like you may be right, its odd, the way they have you remove the engine from the vehicle, is after you disconnect everything, you unbolt the cross members and drop the engine/transaxle down with the crossmembers still attached. then remove the crossmembers from the engine/transaxle. I overlooked the step that says to remove the RR insulator, which I guess is the rear one.

that makes sense... the mounts on the front and the back of the motor should be on the cross member... the back one is bigger then the front one.. the front one is ther to stop the motor for rocking back and forth.. the third is on the side where the tranny is, thats pretty big as well.. then you get the big mount on the side and you can see it when you open the hood, its by the head
