You could probably use a threading die without removing anything.

lol get on that asap! ha but nah i found the tap at this emporium shop they had mass different ones so i bought the whole set, and made some other ones for some friends as well. but to get it to fit i took it to a machine shop an had them redrill it for me. and finito! u have a beer tap shifter! lol

Yea i know!! I have to find an insert and tap a longer hole so it sits lower on my short shifter!

btw flip the the shift boot ring collar inside out and there wont be a gap between the makeshift black ring and the silver collar

what do you mean,theres no gap,trying to figure out,how to eliminate the silver collar thing....

oh if theres no gaps then its fine. to eliminate the silver collar is gonna be a tough one. you can always try painting the silver collar black to match the middle collar
