06 Head Unit/Aux Port Question
Hi,
I've tried searching and googling for a while but nothing really answered my question, at least with photos. I have the standard Pioneer T1807 head unit in my 06 scion with the aux port in the console.
The aux port isn't functioning; i'm pretty sure the port input is bent out of shape probably due to things sliding into the stereo cable inside and moving it around. Anyway, without taking the entire console apart, I was wondering if anyone had quick answers to these questions about it:
does the headunit come with a standard RCA adapter that I can just get my own RCA to stereo cable for mp3/phone connection (and relocate it under the seat) or is it some special wiring kit and I have to replace the aux port with 86190-52010 Aux Adapter (http://www.toyotapartszone.com/oem/t...0-52010.html)?
or... do I need to buy a separate toyota adapter for this to work?
Thanks!

try plugging your mp3 player into the cig lighter and then see if it works. when i swapped stereos my aux didn't work anymore, than i got a usb to cig lighter adapter and plugged it in and it works. i guess it needs a power support for some reason.

that's an interesting concept, but i dont think that'll work for my case. Ive always had my phone charger plugged into the console cigarette adapter and aux jack never worked. i'll see if i can find a usb adapter though and try it.
