Exclamation 06 TC Car Audio Question

I have an 06' TC and my current door speakers are in bad shape. It's missing the passenger front and the driver rear is blown I believe. Anyways, I'm looking at buying some new speakers for my TC. From what I've read and researched I'm thinking about going with this setup.

Kenwood KDC-MP538U
Rockford Fosgate Punch P300-1
Rockford Fosgate P3D212
2 sets of Rockford Fosgate R1653

Just wondering if there is anything else I should look at. I don't have 2 grand to spend on a setup so is this going to be satisfactory. I pretty much only listen to Acoustic/ Punk/ and Metal (if that helps).Any help or information on this would be greatly appreciated

you gonna need adapters for the 6.5" speakers all around.

Good place to buy those or are there negatives to them? Just running a smaller speaker a good option?

well.. i dont know whos gonna install it but if you take it to an audio place they might have adapters... the stock speakers are 5,75"

just go with the 6.5 and get adapters.

btw the front speakers are riveted... so you have to drill them out.

I'll probably do the install. Diy is the only way to go, but there's a local stereo store I may hit up to see if they have adapters.

Is there anything else I should take into account before making thi purchase?

if you have a factory installed sub+amp make sure you take out everything completely because you will have noise in your system.. same thing happened to my friend...

if u dont want to get a spacer or adapter. u can just cut out the speaker and break off the plastic pieces behind it and just take the magnet out. front u will be able to put 6.5 speakers and back u will be able to put 5.25 speakers. thats how i did it in my scion tc. well i have kicker ks series speakers all around. for my taste it is awsome. i cant complain. its nice and clean and been taking all the beating i have put in to em. make sure tho if u get amp for door speakers. just to make sure take out mid bass go into them. it gets cleaner. plus getting eq or crossover if u get two amps or one big 4 channel amp to do all of the work. u will feel the difference.

EXACTLY!!!!

please dont do it!!! i know what I am talking about.... i got my speakers the same way!!!! 6.5 all around... inside of the speakers are ripped out and the barbarian haitian guy just installed the speakers in there.. i was like WOOOOOW!

1 day imma fix them but please dont go this way... you can get adapters really cheap.

Plus the original speakers plastic is weak.. if you overtorque the screw it rips open the plastic so you have to turn the new speaker and screw it again... BOTTOM LINE: DONT DO IT!

well i did it that way. it is getting close to about year and half since i did it. so far speakers are in there nice and tight still. its all depends on who did it and how they do it. if u r care full enough and do it good. that aint bad ether tho.

I think I'm just going to go with adapters. Has anyone ever had problems with filament after using them? And does anyone know an online place to get them?

yes, never had any problem with it. The speaker size is 6.5" and top-mount depth 2-5/8"

that picture was taken after i had them for 4 year. I was suprise to see that piece wood didn't rotted. Jersey weather sucks, Most of nuts and bolts under my tc is rusted.
