Default 12V LED Scanner Installation

Hey I'm thinking about buying a LED scanner from Asianwolf to go with my car alarm system. Can anyone teach me how to install this scanner to a 12V source in my car. I am completely oblivious to electric circuitry and would appreciate the help. Thanks

You're right its a generic brand. This is the link: http://www.asianwolf.com/car-alarm-scanner.html. It goes on top of the dash and connects to a 12V source in the car.

there's 3 wires to hook up...
i can only assume.. power, ground, and the wire that hooks to the alarm system or to a switch..

as far as my thoughts on it. generic POS.

LOL. Depending on what alarm you have you will use a 12v, a ground, and a ground when armed so it only turns on when you arm it. Always get dei but to each is own.

Say I have no alarm system. How would I source a 12V from the car. In other words, where would I pulls wires from to install this?

back of the cigarette lighter, straight from the battery, extra spot in the fuse box via an add a circuit, etc.
