2000 watts RMS system's battery, alternator, big 3 suggest?
I got three questions related to this and need some help on it.
1. Im going for big three upgrade and i checked over eDmental design and they sell it for 100 buck and i do think its cheap but do you find or know anywhere that are cheaper?
2. the battery issue, since my system handle 2000 RMS watts, does one battery is good enough? need another one? if so, which battery is the best for that?
3. Since my system is 2000 RMS, its obviously i need a better alternator so how to upgrade it to make it high output and where to buy one??
the box is on the way so i want to make sure im doing the right thing before creating a mistake and cause other to fall through.

1. Don't know of any other brands that make a kit specifically for doing a 'big 3'. You could buy whatever brand parts you want and make your own if you want.
2. The only reason to add another battery is to extend your engine-off listening time. If you want to listen for long periods w/o the car running, then add another battery. If you do, make sure to get a solenoid or isolator, of the type that will only parallel the batteries when the engine is running (so when the key is off, your audio system will only run from it's own battery, not the car's battery).
3. I wouldn't be so sure a hi-po alternator is required, just because your amps are rated to produce 2k watts. They won't actually be doing so unless you're constantly cranking it to the max spl and leaving it there. Why not wait and see how the stock alt does? You can always upgrade it later if the stock unit fails.

Well if you intend to listen to the system for 3-5 hours with the car off, then yes, please add another battery for the audio system so you don't kill your starter battery. It's important that a solenoid is set up the way I described, because if both batteries are always connected, you'll just drain them both. Implemented correctly, you won't have anything to worry about.

adding batteries never hurts. It allows for voltage to be more stable (figure with more batterys, more stored power is available, so when the system hits, more power can be sent to it). PM rocketgyrl about battery choice
the big 3 is nothing more than 3 wires. positive to alternator, chassis to ground, and engine block to chassis. i used 0awg wire. eD's site is incorrect. talk to chris and he'll get you the correct price.
iraggi alternators... mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
