Does anyone have this combination of the new "Classic" iPods and the tC's 08 Premium stereo? If so, is it working well for you? My iPod is on its last leg, so I wanted to make sure that if I pick up a new one it'll work normally.

Please report any anomalities with this pairing.

if there were any problems, people wouldnt buy the unit

but i hope it doesnt cause next week i am going to install an 07 premium stereo and i have the new classic ipod

Please let me know how that goes! What do you have? The 160GB or the 80GB? My 5th generation which was working fine crapped out on me last night while I was synching it, I ran a diagnosis which told me the HDD was 96GB (only really 30GB) and a bunch of garble for model # etc.

There shouoldn't be any problems. I am running my 160-gig with the factory NAV unit and all is good. I understand they are 2 different HUs but I haven't heard anything (my wife works at the genius bar in an apple store).

dude even my iPhone works fine with my 08 standard headunit, you will not have a problem.
