I don't know if this belongs in this section, but here it goes. Well saturday night i got a little drunk and me and my girl went at it pretty bad. So alchol + anger= ____ed off. So i was so mad i hit my steering wheel in the car. I didnt hit the horn but the top part of the steering wheel. Now the airbag light stays on and doesnt shut off. And no i wasnt driving i was ____ed so i walk to my car to calm down and listen to music. Did i break something? The steering wheel isnt crack or missed shape or anything.

 

Have you tried unplugging your battery to reset the ECU. If that doesn't work, take it to the dealership.

 

You could have damaged some of the mechanism that controls the airbag... Seems feasible but I don't really know what's in there. If you actually did something (hit it) and now it won't go off, you probably cause some sort of damage and might need a new wheel or bag.

Im guessing its the same thing that happened when my car got hit. The car senses it was hit and the airbag light stays on. The dealership has to hook it up to a computer and reset the light.

 

you must have hit that thing hard! stop doing ROIDS!

 

might be the clock spring. is your horn working and is the cruise control light goes on and off?
