for 4 ga. wire: get a 5/8" drill bit, go about a foot above the dead-pedal, there will be a piece of insulation already cut out....drill a hole here and put your grommet in.....it will come out on the upper right side of the engine bay (when looking at it from front)

edit:

If you're uncomfortable with drilling a new hole in your firewall, look at Mandos's pic for grommet probing....hehe i said probe....

I've got a craptacular pic in my gallery

It's basically just straight behind the steering wheel. That's where I went, where the main wire boot comes into the car.

Yeah I went behind the pedals below the factory harness. A word of note: dont be like me and feed the wire from the engine compartment to the back instead of into the engine compartment. It was a _____ to pull like 15ft through there when I could have only pulled like 4ft into the engine bay.

Now I just have to get my 1/0 run... damn ____ty weather!

no, but it makes it more succeptable to the elements.....plus, if you were to ever go to a competition, you'd have points deducted for installation.....

Entering through fire wall

Through the Brake retainer metal thing(there's a nice big hole at the top)

Coming out of the break one and into the clutch metal:

After that, just run it down the corner of the car behind the wire bundle and under the carpet....YAY

Ok...I'll get these images fixed...sorry guys For now, just click on them to see what I'm talking about

Now I'm having trouble putting the wire through the firewall. I found the grommet that you speak of by the steering wheel by I can not for the life of me find where it comes out on the other side! There's so much ____ in the way! Did you have to jack the car up and take off a wheel to find where it came out??

Step 1: Gut car.

Step 2: Lay down in car, head under the steering wheel.

Step 3: Shove hands up in the dash

Step 4: Cut

Step 5: Jam wire through a good foot or so and you should see it pretty easily.

Got it through, easier with two people instead of one.

I didn't need to gut the car. One of my biggest fears is creating rattles, my car is rattle free, *knock on wood* It was easier than I though. Mandos, you're the man, without those pics I would have never figured it out. Thank you!
