Default Amp Question Sound System Help

I am looking for an amp to push a JL 10w6v2
but I have no idea what amp to use
I want to buy the JL Slash 500/1 amp but it is way expensive
but elemental design has one, the nine.2x and it is really cheap
Anyone with the elemental design one thing it is worth it?
and any other suggestions for amps (that have warranties)

JL is good stuff, but a lot of the money you're paying is in the name. I've heard nothing but great things about eD and they have the best customer service I have ever experienced. You won't be disappointed. Come to think of it, they should send me some free stuff for the promoting I do for them

If you know what you are doing, you can go over RMS, but you have to know what to listen for to prevent damage to the sub. I've read that eD's stuff is actually a little higher than they say, so I'd go with the nine.2 if I were you. You could get the nine.2x, and just adjust the gain a little lower and listen closely to make sure the sub isn't clipping.

Are you adding a sub to just add some low end, or cruise down the street setting off car alarms? I bought a eD SQ10 for my car, but haven't put it in yet and that should be enough for me. After having systems that would make me go cross-eyed for a few hours after getting out of my car, I decided to go with something a little better sounding.

You could also always contact eD and get their recommendations. They are always willing to help someone out, or just PM Mandos.

You could always try emailing them or I think they have live support on their website, but it's only on during their business hours.

Sounds like a good plan. Any other questions just ask, or search around. Look in Mandos sig to find a guide to strip everything out of your car while installing, if you're doing it yourself.
