are audiobahn subs good quality that wont break and can they handle the rms they say they can and do they have good warenties

 

i got 2 12's. its not the best sub but it gets the job done..... mine is rated at 400 rms and i have it at about 500 watts per speaker for about 2 years now and its still going.. overall not the greatest sub out there, but it gives u bass..

 

so do u think they are better than power akustiks

Pick up some of the EHQS 12s from edesignaudio.com (elemental designs) Just installed a pair this weekend hooked to one channel of a eD Nine.2 amp in a vented box and they sound great in a pontiac grand prix. Soon to be building a box for 4 of them to go in the tC powered by two Alpine MRP-M650s.

To answer your questions I've never heard Audiobahns, but they look really nice. Reverse mount them if you decide to go with them. Power Acoustik just doesn't impress me. Very sloppy bass hits imo. You can get better subs for the money. If you're trying to get something locally check out circuit city, they'll impress you with their selection of Kicker and MTX.

 

if you want a cheap sub get the PG RSd12d. They hit pretty good and can take a beating...mine worked excellent till i accidently hit the "mx" button and now the voice coil is unraveling slowly so i can hear it rub on certain notes

 

They are called audiobling for a reason. All show, no go.

 

I guess everyone here has had a bad experience with audiobahn... I had 2 10" Flame Q AW1006T with a A8002V 800 watt amp in a ported box and they POUNDED. I think they are pretty good subs for the price.

 

i've never delt with them but its like any brand with a bad rep. you just don't buy them. like oh...... whats a good example...... pyle headunits. they're not bad but i wouldn't recommend them

i have heard that the rsd 12's are good but that the 10's aren't the same. i haven't used either but thats what i have heard.

 

i loved my 12...lol now its sitting in my garage waiting to be thrown at something..lol now i got 2 12's that are dual stacked magnets no more single. i have a PG xenon 600.1 im gunna pu tfor sale if you want a good amp for 1 sub or 2 subs @250rms each...its 600watts 1channel and 1 ohm stable

 

LIKE I SAID..... is not the greaest speakers but will get the job done.. mine hit pretty alrite... i kno they are crappy... u want good speakers go wit W7,mmats, L7's etc... i think for the price the audiobahns are ok.

 

w7 = overpriced for what you get
mmats = nice but warranty is meh
l7's = sound like crap but hit amazing

 

look into directed audio, i have had my sub for 2 years and it is still pushing strong
