Tested it on "scene" xvid releases with divx work around
What's the divx workaround? I was figuring i'd just have to convert all the xvid over to divx, but that's time consuming and quality losing... The fact that it won't easily play xvid is the reason I haven't bought a D3 yet...

There's a program that changes the header of the file to the correct formatting of divx. It is somewhere on avic411.com under d1/d2/d3 general, i believe.

Put mine in last night and the D3 is freakin Hot!! I have the ipod cable, and I need to get the Sirius tuner, for now, my fm mod sirius will do. I still need to recess it by drilling out the brackets, as I was in a hurry to get it in before it got too dark, but I'm in love with it...

The wire is the "reverse" wire, as opposed to the "drive" wire, it tells the unit you are backing up, and it turns on the rear-view camera if installed. I did not hook mine up as I don't have the camera yet and it doesn't really effect the navi.

Looks amazing, I've been looking into this headunit for a while now, can't really go wrong with it! Amazing looks, great features and all for hundreds less than all the others!

Quick question tho, with the location you currently have your's installed, can you still close the cover, or does the volume **** get in the way?

i modified the brackets (look at the pictures) and it'll have the HU sit further back so the door closes just fine.

whitesmoke from avic411 posted some scion backgrounds to use with the d3

Black piece is the metra kit. It fills in the empty sides so it looks much cleaner.

I was only able to line up 2 screw holes in the end with the metra kit. using the stock holes is fine but the door cover won't close as the **** gets in the way. Drilling holes (where the indents are) allows you to close the door cover.

hey Phantom TC. I know that this unit has VEhicle dynamics. Did you hook up yours and i see that you connected the speed sensor. But what about the rest of the dynamics like RPM Temp? Thank you

only thing the vehicle dynamics page shows is

voltage, acceleration, side acceleration, angular velocity, slope, direction, and clock.
